Ceridian Anonymous:   (Past Employee - 2008)

Pros

There is alot of flexibility with your schedule and the benefits are great. They want you to enjoy coming to work.

Cons

The current CEO is downsizing and sending work overseas to cut expenses but is not considering the customer service that is given by the US workers.

Advice to Senior Management

Cutting cost by eliminating staff does affect how you can service your customers and my affect the bottom line in the end by lost customers.

Ceridian Major Account Representative in Kansas City, MO:   (Past Employee - 2009)

Pros

Privately held with strong former GE leadership. Cascading goals to local level that let you know how you impact the organization. New tools to facilitate an edge in a competitive marketplace. Freedom and autonomy to make your own success

Cons

After almost 3 years there they finally have it together. Turmoil has existed, but local leadership is strong and motivated to develop employees and increase Ceridian's market share

Advice to Senior Management

Cash Flow is up and Margins are up. Cut millions in wasted expense now go out and make it happen

Ceridian Anonymous in Minneapolis, MN:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Good people to work with. Benefits better than most.

Cons

Too many VP's. Most don't have clue what it takes to make things work. They cut people and budgets for five straight years then anounce in meetings that are suprised how fragile the infrastructures are. Lot of talk about investing in company but all that seems to be going to "offshore" workers who dont understand applications. US workers left to pick up the pieces and get the flack. VP's not accountable, CYA is the process, blame some other group.

Advice to Senior Management

SCRUM proccess is not working. It is destroying the products.

Ceridian Anonymous in Saint Petersburg, FL:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Very good people on the front lines. The employees are determined to have things work right for the customers the first time.

Cons

Extremely poor communication from management. No clear sense of direction. My supervisor never spoke with me directly about her concerns. I didn't know she had any until they showed in writing on my performance review 6 months later.

Advice to Senior Management

Become more involved in the company's daily activities and see for yourselves what really goes on. High level reports are only a tiny part of the picture.

Ceridian Relationship Manager in Saint Petersburg, FL:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Benefits package is one of the best for similar companies. Co-workers are committed to doing their best and are trying to do the best they can.

Cons

management has no clue what they are doing or the implications of their decisions on the clients. They do not care if clients stay or go. Employees are just a number with no loyalty or commitment. CYA is a way of life at Ceridian

Advice to Senior Management

Get a clue and get with the program. You should listen to your employees who are client facing. We actually do know what our clients want unlike management

Cons

Too many changes at executive management level. C suite has revolving door

Ceridian Anonymous in Saint Petersburg, FL:   (Current Employee)

Pros

the benefits package is great, and so are the co-workers,

Cons

I've not had an increase in pay in 3 years. Employee morale is really low due to the steady layoffs.

Advice to Senior Management

You must pay top talent if you wish to retain them.

Ceridian Anonymous in Bloomington, MN:   (Current Employee)

Pros

About the best thing I can say is that they have good vacation benefits and flexability. The workers are trying to make the best of a bad situation but if the economy was better, most would leave.

Cons

No employer loyalty. No management accountability, employee salaries and bonuses are frozen (execs are exempt, of course), several layoffs, not replacing workers who leave, but continue to hire many VP's. 20% of the headquarters staff is VP's and many have NO reports. They are cutting costs everywhere and yet we still have a corporate jet, stadium suites and country club memberships for the CEO and her GE cronies. Employee reviews are non-existent and managers are more concerned about covering their butts and keeping their bosses happy than helping their employees do thier job. Avoid if possible.

Advice to Senior Management

Think long term, thin the management ranks, hold managers accountable for their employees performance and success. Sell the corporate jet and show some of the sacrifice that you expect of your employees. Communicate more and better.

Ceridian Product Specialist in Cleveland, OH:   (Past Employee - 2008)

Pros

Work/Life Balance. Team approach in my department was well received. Worked with an exceptional team of sales professionals who exceeded all goals.

Cons

Sr. management changes on a year to year basis @ CBS. This made it difficult to have any type of future plan and a commitment to customer service.

Advice to Senior Management

Hold people accountable, listen to your customers, house clean of under achieving employees, pay the ones who are deserving to stay.
