    Pros

    It was easy enough to get a job here. The work was easy and the other employees were generally nice and fun to work with.

    Cons

    Upper management and the corporate level staff were insufferable. Raises and bonuses were never offered. An employee needs to be on full time status for at least 1 year before receiving paid holidays or paid time off. After 1 year of full time employment, only 1 week PTO and 2 paid holidays are offered. Insurance was expensive.

    Pros

    Great teamwork and the people you meet truly becomes like a family member. They work with your schedule. The CEO was absolutely an amazing person to represent in the community of Central Florida.

    Cons

    On shipment delivery days, you may have to come in as early as 5 a.m.

    Pros

    You get discounts on purchases.
    Slow pace work environment.
    Duties are easy and fast to learn.
    Learn a lot about supplements and healthy food.

    Cons

    They don't ever give you raises. They are very low tech and don't invest in their company assets. The machines are always breaking and making noises, however they don't bother replacing them. The work is very boring.

    Hire managers who know what they are doing and are more professional with employees.

    Pros

    Good culture. Most of the people I worked with that wasn't management were great. Similar ideals and you feel great selling what is in the store.

    Cons

    The disorganization alone is enough to want to leave this place. Managers and Corporate are not on the same page.Training on the product is rushed. When you are selling herbs and vitamins customers have questions that at times you don't know. If there were more training involved it would make it a lot easier.

    You are trained on the job, great wealth of information if you end up at the right store.

    Cons

    Really don't pay a living wage (but I suppose no one does)

    Pros

    Customers are friendly and fun to work for.

    Excellent product variety and product quality..

    Inventory responsibilities are engaging and fast-paced.

    Company has an excellent special order system for customers with specific needs.

    Purchasing Agents are generally friendly.

    Cons

    Company executives play favorites with promotions: nepotism is rampant, do not expect to move up in the company if you do not have an inside connection.

    Pay is not nearly worth the work-load.

    Prices are unreasonably high. This makes customer service difficult.

    Pressured to work overtime often. Unreasonable with family needs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    To CEO: Just because he's your best friend's son doesn't mean he's a qualified or semi-qualified purchasing director. He is wasting your money and he's ousting good, productive employees.

    Pros

    You get to work with some very nice customers. Also, if you work in a specific store, co-employees can feel like family.

    Cons

    Corporate is extremely rude when they call or come into the stores. They treat the employees like crap, fly in and then fly out. They do not pay attention to how hard their employees work and they do not compensate for their hard work. Starting paying for a store manager is $27,000/yr. They offer everything in the initial hiring interview and then do not come through. There have been individuals who have worked for Chamberlin's for years and the only time they receive pay raises is when the minimum wage goes up. New people get paid a hire rate than hard working individuals who have been there forever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Realize that we are in 2012 and not 1955. Employees deserve to be treated like respect especially if they are working their butts off. Reward loyalty. Do not talk badly about your staff to other stores. Have more than one person trying to run the entire Orlando area. Support your employees. Chambelrin's owner and corporate management should be ashamed on how they run this business!
