I have been working at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Pay is competitive and that's about it.

    Cons

Micromanaged to death. You cannot trust management. They will stab you in the back whenever it suits their needs. Don't believe the positive reviews posted because it is a nightmare. They actively seek to dismiss senior employees so they can be replaced with lower paid newbies and couldn't care less about rank and file employees. If you have a family and need health insurance be prepared to pay out your nose for it.

Find your moral and ethical compass. You lost it a while ago.

I worked at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital

    Pros

pre set schedule. overtime availability. shift differential. holiday pay (but holidays are pre-set). gret patient interactions. ability to get hands on experience in the field.

    Cons

nurses who are unwilling to help care for their patients, especially patient care. being at the bottom of the totem pole in all respects. vacation denials due to staff shortages. high patient load secondary to staff shortages

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

try to be more open about the needs of all your workers. stop forcing aides to work a whole wing and a half it's too much. pay attention to your nurses... surpised there haven't been more lawsuits yet.
