    Pros

-Great, friendly people. The people make this company a place to look forward to everyday. : )
-Benefits are decent, including AETNA medical, Guardian dental & vision, Lincoln Life & AD&D, 401k with co. matching, employee appreciation events, etc.
-laid back environment, flexible schedule depending on personal appointments, no formal dress code
-management is approachable and down-to-earth,; egos left at the door

    Cons

-Human resources are tight so many employees are handling a lot of different jobs
-Company is start-up in environment so we are still a growing company who has a long ways to becoming more established

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-When we become successful, tenured employees and worker bees should definitely be the first in line to be appreciated.

    Pros

Since the company is focused on teens, the cultural as very youthful and energetic. While the company is small, the "news" part of the organization has been around for a long time (Anderson Cooper started here) so more employers than expected have heard of it. Can be a great "first job" immediately after college. Great, central location in midtown.

    Cons

Times are tight, so don't expect to get exotic assignments to far-off lands. Office politics can become an issue. Don't expect any sort of help defining a career path or promotions (outside layoffs). Company management lacks focus and employees are often caught in the middle as responsibilities/priorities bounce around. A small, but vocal group of activists have it out for the company since it puts advertising in schools.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus, focus, focus.
