I worked at ChannelPlay full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Work pressure is less
    Seniors are very supporting
Top mangament actually listen to what you want to say.

    Cons

The work can be very monotonous at times.
Same profile but different salaries for people from different universities.
Job role not clearly defined between two different designations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please make the CTC same for all those you are hiring in the same profile. It does not feel good that my colleague who is working in the same profile is earning more than me.

I worked at ChannelPlay full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company is surely a great place to work. Some challenging and exciting projects to work on. The CEO is always approachable and if you have a new idea or business model that can be worked out, he is ready to invest time and money. If you want to dive deep into ocean of retail, this is a perfect place to sweat out. If you ever wanted to understand how a project transitions and how it gets executed, this is a place to be in. Fun & Work, I've had them both here.

    Cons

Purely a retail support industry with expertise into Merchandising and Audits. Not sure where it is in term of Training projects but would love to see it grow in terms of training & development clientele.
Also, not to judge individuals on the skills they are not meant to possess. An ops guy can never be an Admin or A L&D facilitator can never be a BD.
Everybody is a Genius but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live it's whole life believing that it's stupid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Task allocation and evaluation should be in a manner which makes more sense.

    Pros

As said, a good platform to learn and even the CEO will listen to your ideas. Co-operative and open-minded people.

    Cons

Poorest travel reimbursement - at least for the interns.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice to clearly share the reimbursement policies at the start (if you don't, it gives a sense of insecurity) and increased transparency on salary structure.

    Dear Intern,

If the reimbursement policy wasn't shared transparently, thats regrettable and we'll be careful in the future.

I have been working at ChannelPlay full-time

    Pros

    a) The profile makes you highly equipped in operational aspects.
    b) Flat organization structure is a big plus.
    c) Young workforce

    Cons

    a) Very less of what an ideal retail marketing company should do.
    b) Not exactly the right company if you are targeting the sales and marketing sector. It is more into HR and project management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Explore into more retail sector verticals that are wide open and untouched in India.

I worked at ChannelPlay as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

    - Focus on Indian Retail sector, which will be growing at huge rate in near future
    - Entrepreneurial atmosphere inside the company
    - Good brand name in the particular field
    - Impressive list of clients to work with

    Cons

    - less organized
    - yet to build a specialized competitive advantage that is hard to copy
    - no further goal for employees/intern

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Now it is high time to implement processes in CP and make things more organized before you leap for the bigger goal. And also try to curb the attrition.
