    Big disappointment!

    Assistant Professor (Current Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

ProsSmall university, friendly people and it has potential...

ConsBad management, lack of communication, poor benefits and salary. Horrible payroll services. It takes months to get salary fixed and if you work in research you need to wait weeks until your order is placed and when it arrives most of the time it was messed up. Orders are still done on paper and there is no electronic version. It can take days until someone replies to your emails. Bunch of lazy and incompetent administrative stuff.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire people that want to work and know their job. Advertise this university, nobody knows about it!

Fought the good fight for a good and worthy cause but became a casualty due to politics and poor leadership.

    Program Coordinator (Former Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

    ProsProviding service to the underserved.

ConsHighly political - it is all about who you know.
Poorly managed - administration turnover is 2:1 in the almost nine years I was there.
Incompetence is rewarded - so long as it is passed-on and done correctly by someone else.
Poor compensation & benefits - HR has a bad image within the institution.

Advice to Senior ManagementBest of luck to the current administration.
