Benefit package, oosa, No micromanagement going on here.

    Cons

You have to be mentally tough and not get annoyed walking people through steps over the phone in tech support.

When I applied for the job and ultimately employed, it was not stated that I would be selling until the first day in training

I worked at Charter Communications full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Ok pay if you want to work overtime and don't mind being yelled at all day this is your place.

    Cons

Constantly forcing people to change their shifts, being yelled at by people for first world problems, Charters service is absolutely terrible and that is why there are so many complaint calls. The contractors do not care about the customers and then the customer calls in and yells at you. There are constant outages that upset people and charter doesn't seem to care as long as they are making a profit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Senior reps and Supervisors that I had were great but upper management and HR sucks.

I have been working at Charter Communications full-time for less than a year

    Pros

It is a pretty good place to work, the environment is always changing to keep up with what is going on in the technology field. It is a good place to get your career started.

    Cons

It is a call center so be prepared to embrace everything that goes along with the call center atmosphere. Everyone is over weight because all they do is eat and sit down on the phones all day.

I have been working at Charter Communications full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunities for advancement, development, and pathing your own career. Great opportunities to stand out and make a difference. Tuition re-embursement is pretty amazing.

    Cons

You're working with a lot of entry level positions that can be difficult. Working with folks that are not yet mature enough professionally to see a "big picture" can be frustrating.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to seek opportunities to develop your people to be professionals.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great training. There is an extensive on boarding program that was very helpful to our agents that may have not had a ton of technical experience.

    Cons

Lack of approachable leadership. If you didn't work 8a-4p you could forget about having anyone to ask if you had a question or problem, especially Human Resources. While I understood that someone couldn't be there everyday all day, that didn't stop the questions and problems from happening. It was a 24x7 center and management and HR was gone by 5p.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make all employees regardless of shift feel important and valued.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay is good, but you have to bust your butt to get anything more than just your hourly rate with metrics being involved

    Cons

    charter in general, just sucks

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit being shady with your employees about things like first call resolution, and people are always not wanting to upgrade so be more concerned with good service, and the customer retention and satisfaction will grow
