    Pros

Charter provides good exposure within the organization and is under a great leadership team. Culture is fast paced and competitive.

    Cons

Charter is growing very quickly, and sometimes a company faces growing pains when transforming from a smaller to a larger organization.

    Advice to Management

Continue with the aggressiveness to be an industry leader in the Pay TV business. Acquire the Denver system so employees can get service

    Pros

I love that my schedule is set, and that if you do need time off, that is something that you can enter into your own schedule. Benefits are awesome, free cable, internet and phone, and various opportunities to make a difference through Charter, or even on your own free time. Lots of employee appreciation events as well. The people are great! Ample resources available to you to do you job effectively. Lots of opportunity for advancement, and can transfer between departments.

    Cons

When I started working here, a lot of the veteran employees didn't really want to have anything to do with the 'newbies', which made it hard to find help when I needed. I discovered, however, that it was because of turnover. I guess they didn't want to get friendly and invest when that person may or may not be there in a few months. Also, they tend to have as I say, not as I do policy at times. And no consistency. You can ask one supervisor or lead a question, and then another will chastise you for doing what you were told to do by another, because it isn't 'right'.

    Advice to Management

More consistency with the information distributed to employees, and make sure that people stick to it. It isn't fair to penalize someone for doing what they are told to do by their supervisor. If anything, the one giving the incorrect information needs to be redirected and informed.

    Pros

Fairly good company to work for. Treat employees well.

    Cons

Not enough training for management and need to allow employee feedback of management.

    Advice to Management

Need to monitor management team and if they are doing what is important for the employees such as coaching, training and development. If they are actually involved in the employee development or just going thru the motions.

    Pros

Paid Days Off and Float Days. I was able to take 10 paid days off in a row. Schedule stays the same unless you are a new employee. Good wage for the industry.

    Cons

Toxic work environment. Employees get paid just enough to stay. Customers are not able to be helped because of company neglect.

    Advice to Management

The infrastructure of Charter is so bad in some places, you have people that never get their problem resolved. I didn't see Charter as a long term opportunity, and neither do the 75% who quit annually.
