I worked at Charter Communications full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Benefits are decent, and wage was above average for a call center.

    Cons

The company provides a substandard level of service. Customers are extremely dissatisfied, and that dissatisfaction is never addressed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start building a better product, and quit trying to convince your customers that what they have is better than over-builders, because it is certainly not. Address problems with the quality and value of your service, and you will then be a fantastic place to work.

    Pros

Pay check and references. That's about it. I mean it's indoors but it's not rocket science.

    Cons

Call center hell. You can only upselling and trouble shoot. There is no winning. You can't fix issues. You get yelled at a lot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Decide what you want phone agents to do and stivk with it.

    Pros

Good work/life ratio. Decent pay. excellent benefits ie: free TV, Internet, and Home Phone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a plan and stick with it. Stop fixing what's not broken.

Decent pay with commission. I got the experience that I wanted out of college with a real full-time job.

    Cons

Getting time off is really hard even for family emergencies. Supervisor aren't consist in answers. Also, This company does not understand that their products and services can not compete with the bigger competitors who offer it for less. Customer's simply can not afford to pay higher prices for less quality of services.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Travel opportunities abound, free or reduced cable services and pockets of interesting and talented colleagues.

    Cons

Senior leadership lacked strategic vision, communication, engagement and overall were not "leaders" in the true sense of what a leader should be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Servant leadership mentality. Develop a pipeline. Promote a culture of innovation and health. Raise the bar, beginning with front line employees.

    Pros

Free to discounted cable and internet. Multiple chances to get raises each year.

    Cons

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your employees a bit more. Take a true concern for their career growth. Motivate, lead, and get involved with their daily tasks. Provide a viable path of growth to all employees.
