I worked at Charter One Bank part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good work environment, great training, decent pay

    Cons

A big sales focus in the retail branches. They want you to constantly be cross-selling products to every customer that comes in even if it is to just make a simple deposit

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is annoying to the customers to constantly have the CSRs trying to sell them something just to do a simple transaction. The focus should be more on providing a warm, friendly environment to the customer and quick service, and not on always trying to sell the customer another bank product.
