    Advice to Management

if someone gives you 110% you should recognize and appreciate them for going above and beyond for the company and be thankfull you had an employee like that.

I have been working at Charter One full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

obviously bankers hours, bank holidays and vacation time. We actually have great products to offer customers

    Cons

Micromanaged to the point of madness. Every second of every day is accountable on a stupid piece of paper. Management (especially upper) is abusive and threatening. That terrible feeling of no matter what you do it isn't good enough is stressful. Ridiculous calling blocks and call nights that were a complete waste of time and not effective. Aggressive sales environment that pits one colleague against the other. I was a top performer and found it degrading to be accountable to a piece of paper and have a brand new manager "coach" me every minute. Company is big on hiring from the outside and growth within wasn't going to happen in my region to the point where I felt that the company was actively trying to get rid of everyone that has been there long term. I proudly worked for this company for years and just couldn't take the beat down another day!

    Advice to Management

to upper management: let your managers run their branches, that is their job right? to branch managers: trust you people to do their job and leave them alone!

    Pros

Benefits and pay are decent as well as having holidays off. The systems are very user friendly and easy to complete the customer request.

    Cons

Horrible Schedules, employes who act like they are still in middle school, management who continues to have favorites. Since going to a profit and loss set up the company keeps on raising the goals to a point where they are almost impossible to meet.

    Advice to Management

Make goals that a reasonable and able to obtain. Make sure that management is able to mange the team and not sit in a office having nonstop coaching time.

Providing an exceptional level of customer experience. Early years provided opportunities for career advancement.
