You are the driver of your own success with this company. The tools and skill sets are in place, each individual has many opportunities for personal growth.

    Cons

Very, very, long shifts due to high level of volume, company is aware of this and does put forth all the effort to create a more balanced work/home schedule.

    Pros

A great place to work. A family like atmosphere among the staff, you make great quick money, and management is always willing to help with any concerns.

    Cons

You make the most money during weekends and holidays so you will most likely be working then.

I have been working at Cheesecake Factory part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very flexible with work schedule, friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

lots of long shifts, if you count that as a con.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everything gets held up by the dishwashers, they are underpaid, understaffed, and so the there are always 1 or 2 new ones per shift who are still learning and cant keep up,

I worked at Cheesecake Factory part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The restaurant itself goes through a great deal of people in a short period of time and does so very well. It's kitchen line is very well put together and functions well considering the enormity of the menu. It's workgroups are put together in a way that encourages teamwork and an environment that is striving toward a singular goal.

    Cons

Vertical movement in the company can be somewhat limited. Also some shifts will yield better results for sales dependent positions than others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In my experience management was very well executed. Line of communication between employee and employer was always fairly open. Reaching out to employees for input on how the restaurant functions could be beneficial for the restaurant as a whole.

I have been working at Cheesecake Factory part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

by far the best restaurant company I have worked for. Chris Gordon is also the best GM, and the rest of the management team are not only wonderful, they are just nice human beings. Flexible schedules, time off whenever you need it and they don't act like you owe them a favor for going on a vacation. Im almost out of the restaurant industry and I'm happy I will be leaving with a positive experience,

    Cons

LOCATION...Now you would think because you are directly across the street from the convention center that this place is a money pit. it is not. Of course there are times (PAX,Comicon,Wedding show, etc.) when you make awesome money with certain conventions, but this place is a TOTAL TOURIST TRAP with NO AUTOMATIC GRATUITY. that should say it all. keep in mind the Canadian border is also just hours away. 80% Foreign guests with no automatic gratuity is just cruel, especially in a restaurant thats built for large parties. On the other hand, the constant disappointment with our guest was actually my motivation for going back to school, so thank you for that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Unfortunately, because this is a corporate company, My one complaint about the auto gratuity is pretty much out of my immediate managers hands.

    Pros

    easy money
    flexible schedule
online scheduling, you can pick up shifts, drop shifts, swap, and message employees without leaving your door

    Cons

almost always busy, its a pro and a con, you need busy to make money, but can be exhausting
really depends on your table, could be great, could be grumpy because they're hungry, or just plain grumpy

    Pros

There is potential for great tips at the Cheesecake Factory. A wonderful variety of food and beverage makes it easy to upsell.

    Cons

Wearing an all-white uniform while waiting tables is not ideal. Management had a fairly high turnover rate which caused a lot of inconsistencies.
