    Pros

    decent pay decent benefits

    Cons

the casino is basically ran like a giant wal mart. the departments do not communicate management doesn't listen to employees suggestions very high turnover rate booking of concerts becoming same routine every year

    Advice to Management

Learn to listen to your floor employees as they are the ones who are interactive with the guests learn to teach staff safety measures and preparation for them provide a positive working environment, as good achievement is never pointed out or rewarded

    Pros

The table games dept has a lot of opportunities for growth especially since it is still fairly new to live gaming. Benefits are excellent also. There are over 150 tables with still more games to come. They offer morning and night time classes to learn additional games. The best shift to work for is swing shift by far!!

    Cons

Since it is still fairly new, the dept is still trying to work out the kinks. For PTO, you must submit it at the very least a month before hand but may not know if you will get approved for a while. Some concerts are blacked out for employees. Most supervisors came from other properties and every one likes to do things their own way so egos are a big deal there. One supervisor will tell you one way then their breaker will tell you something different. Although the toke rate is really good for the area, management doesn't discipline the dealers that are riding on others coat tails which could in turn raise the toke rate.

    Advice to Management

Get more involved with dealer and supervisor relationships.

    Pros

Insurance benefits and possibly the bonus if they give one due to profit. If you don't have a conscious and like to kiss butt and are buddies with your boss then sky is the limit for you.

    Cons

not enough people hired to perform job duties=overworked and under appreciated. Hell fire and brimstone wanted it done yesterday. Horrible communication which in turns wastes money due to change orders and remodels during construction. There really are to many to list..... STAY AWAY

    Advice to Management

Actually hire people that know something about what their job duties are.. STOP the scratch my back and I will scratch yours mentality (Management!!!)..

Keeps up on technology. Always expanding.

Long work hours. Treats employees with no respect.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees better. They are what will make you a great company and not just a job.

    Pros

    - Great if you are a Cherokee

    Cons

    - Not clear if CNB is going to focus on casinos (short-term return) or focus on investing in new lines of business (long-term growth) - Do not join if you are not Cherokee. Probably not possible anyway. - Office space is horrendous. No windows and beige walls with no decorations. - Immature business leadership. Screaming = Priority

    Advice to Management

Clarify what business CNB needs to focus on so that all team members may act accordingly.

    Pros

Pay and benifits are good as well as bonuses. Fun atmosphere, can get fast paced and exciting on the week ends.

    Cons

Horrible Good Ol Boys Club!! Promotions are based on favoritism, established Clicks, You will be expected to work your butt off in all the crappy areas while favorites get lot patrol all day! Or playing on the computer in the key desk all day long! Many of the long term favorites are physically incapable of performing the expected job duties or are in the habbit of being incredibly lazy pushing most of responsibility on new hires. Yet these people are the only ones chosen for promotions and preffered shifts!!! As well as overtime..??

    Advice to Management

Seriously re-evaluate individule performance and promote accordingly! Get rid of the good ol boys club, with all the favoritism there is no chance for employees who go above and beyond picking up the slack to excell and have a chance to move past the dead weight.. Crack down with reprecushions for the obvious favoritism when assigning daily shift change. Evaluate physical ability to perform expected tasks assigned and get rid of those several who simply can not function as expected for excellent performance.. Cut the lazy employees loose, they are taking up positions that can easily be filled by those working their butts off for nothing..

    Advice to Management

take a management class or something. stop hiring buddies and get someone who knows what there doing.
