I worked at Cherry Hill Photo as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

It was fun being able to make kids happy and take family photos with people and create an environment that is welcoming and positive

    Cons

Poor management is the main problem with the job because they seem to hire people that are not qualified for the position

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

find better managers that will treat their employees with respect. They tend to show favoritism towards women and i believe that is unfair

I worked at Cherry Hill Photo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It was an exciting learning experience for a first time set manager. You get to learn all parts of the business from administrative, to operations, to reporting , and working with customers.

    Cons

Can be hectic, so learn to relax. You're gonna be faced with a lot of volume at time, and hope that it stops. Remember to smile and that it is a holiday season. This is going to yield the best results.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take it easy on the regional managers, and the district managers. Also, district managers respect the Local Set managers. Consult and instruct them one-on-one in private and not in front of the helpers, this demoralizes the whole team and invites some bad behavior from the staff, as they see bad behavior is tolerated. This only happened on a few occasions, but the effects last for a few seasons as a result.

I worked at Cherry Hill Photo as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Love working with the children, seeing there faces good or bad when the finally get 2 feet in front of Santa.
Good training for managers in October. Made sure Santa was comfortable in every way.

    Cons

Not enough pay. Managers work 50-60 hours a week on salary making under minimum wage. Closing procedures take forever, would be there till midnight the closer it got to Christmas.
Need to update having camera and register in sink with each other.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more storage on set for extra sales items. Make closing procedures quicker.

I worked at Cherry Hill Photo as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Aside from salary, there is not one good thing about this company. I will say that they have cuter bunny costumes than their competitors.

    Cons

Where do I begin? From day 1, I knew working for Noerr was a bad decision. I was a set manager, part of the west coast team. The training was unprofessional, the higher ups didn't care about you at all, my district manager was completely negligent. And now after called their HR several times to change my mailing address for the w2s, they still have yet to call back. TERRIBLE company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Change. Everything.

I worked at Cherry Hill Photo

    Pros

A chance to work with Santa during Christmas, learn to use a DSLR, Listen to the laughing and sometimes crying of kids sitting with santa. Yes, all of it was funny.

    Cons

Management is unable to fully answer questions, they don't properly train you, unless of course they're organized and know what they're doing. They will not confront you to your face and lie about how the set is doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your employees to do their jobs. And be there for them when they have a question or concern.
