    Pros

Great on site campus and Fitness Center. A solid bonus structure.Corporate environment is generally collaborative and friendly. Consultants are both helpful and a hindrance.

    Cons

Trying to replicate Anadarko to a tee. Management is trying to correct 25 years of past sins over-night. Taking cost cutting measures very seriously that has got almost everyone worried.

    Advice to Management

Actually embrace your greatest assets and invest in them. The good ones are the first to leave and the hardest to replace.

I have been working at Chesapeake Energy

    Pros

Benefits, campus environment, competitive pay, Christmas party had Kelly Clarkson, fitness center, if you just make sure your responsibilities are taken care they don't seem to care what you do.

    Cons

With the industry relaying on oil prices it can be scary for job security. You never know if you'll be laid off.

    Pros

Great benefits and challenging work. Unmatched 401k, tons of PTO, holiday pay, half day Fridays, plenty of challenging and interesting problems to address and solve.

    Cons

Communication problems amongst departments and business units. People are often binned into departments which limits direct communication amongst your peers.

    Advice to Management

Encourage departments to work together and communicate business unit and Company goals and problems. Delegate workloads appropriately across departments and business units.

    Pros

Good salaries, extraordinary 401k. nice working environment. Much better Executive Management with lots of financial transparency and willingness to keep employees in the "know" so good or bad you'll know what's going to happen. Great efforts in leadership developmentioned at all levels.

    Cons

Not much room for advancement within department or to other plays. The subjective perform evaluation has created lots of issues

    Advice to Management

Fantastic turn around! Please watch middle mgt and ask better questions if you truly want to know what's going on. Lift spirits during these tough times as everyone is so afraid to make a decision. Many thanks on extra bonus, that was courageous.

    Pros

Fantastic pay, great benefits. The corporate campus is ridiculously nice...four great restaurants on campus and a really awesome gym. Corporate culture is is fairly friendly, as well.

    Cons

It's hard to find a true con.

    Advice to Management

The restructuring of the company has done very good things. I'm not sure how all BUs operate, but I would suggest my leadership focus more on action rather than semantics. It seems as though my boss' boss is more concerned with the structuring of "the message" than the execution of actual work. He clearly has sights on bigger and better things within the company, which might be the reason for the particular alignment of his priorities.
