    I worked at Chick-fil-A

    Pros

    Managers encourage friendliness
    Coworkers are great
Most customers or "guests" are good-natured, happy people

    Cons

Employees were supposed to get raises after 6 months and I worked there 9 months at minimum wage
If I ever asked off for one day, the next week i would have barely any hours.

    I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Customer service was excellent, you won't find better service at any fast food (quick service) restaurants. Food was always fresh during peak hours. Reasonable pricing for most menu items.

    Cons

During the night shift, often times you could receive food that was cold and had been sitting out for quite a while. Also, employees at night were not the same quality as those during the day, meaning that they didn't put as much effort forth into serving a customer fully as the daytime staff did.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep an eye on night staff to make sure that the quality of their service is up to par with company standards. Nothing was ever terrible, but there is room for improvement

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Most of the people are great and the customers really appreciate the positive attitudes the employees have. The growth from one year to the next has also been very high, which leads to more opportunities.

    Cons

At times the volume can be so high that it can because stressful. Especially when your crew isn't as strong as it could be. This can lead to things not getting done that need to be, or other employees having to pick up the slack of others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management is great and fun to work with

    I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time

    Pros

Coworkers and guests feel like family and love the fast paced environment.

    Cons

I preferred having a shorter paid break versus having to clock out for a 30 minute unpaid break.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure employees each get a break within 5 hours of working and the employees on headset get a break to go to the bathroom or get a drink

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling (depending on location), Sundays off, standard Christmas bonus

    Cons

Incredibly difficult to move beyond the cashier position into leadership, even with proven skill and indicating interest. Pay raises stop after a certain point in employment. The position requires constant "faking it" with customer service, there is no room for human error.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect employees and what they have to offer. Team members may be the lowest man on the totem pole, but they still have valid ideas and are capable of contributing a great deal of good into the day to day work if given the opportunity.
