I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

If you're a competent individual who doesn't mind being humbled every day, Chick-fil-A is not the worst place in the world to work. My managers were mostly easy to work with and the job held me over for a temporary time until more fulfilling full time work was found.

    Cons

It's fast food. Some people really buy into the CFA model and there is room to grow, but odds are you're going to get bogged down by the fact that customer service, especially food service, is a demanding job with very little reward. Long shifts and very short notice about schedules made it impossible to plan anything in advance.

    Pros

This is a great first company to work for. The people are really nice. They are very team centric.

    Cons

Salaries are low. There are heavy religious overtones. Men have to wear a tie and shave their faces.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at Chick-fil-A

    Pros

The work environment is great — what you'd expect from a company that's known for great customer service.

    Cons

Leadership can be hired directly instead of moving through the ranks. This causes division as the newly hired manager or assistant manager may have no idea what employees do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire based on non-seniority.

    I worked at Chick-fil-A

    Pros

Great environment, nice co workers. Great first job as a student. Flexible hours. Loved managers and boss! Good experience for customer service. Sunday is always your day off!

    Cons

Rude people, hard to get a raise if you're a student. Always on your feet, so if you're not use to it then you may get really tired.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The entire staff is incredibly nice. The salary is great, higher than my states minimum wage! Since I was in school, the manager allowed for me to pick my own hours, and I was grateful for that because now I could work according to my hectic schedule.

    Cons

I feel as if there were minimum cons. Being late is just not allowed, and you will be punished for it,either by a deductment of your employee discount for that day.
