    I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

There really weren't very many pros other than having great food.

    Cons

Bad management. They treated everyone like children. I was only 17 when I started working there, but it was run by overgrown children.

    I worked at Chick-fil-A

    Pros

Duties are simple. Great job if you enjoy talking to people. The job offers benefits for longtime employees such as help with school and will work with employees to satisfy their financial needs.

    Cons

Over emphasized importance on appearances and very little opportunity for employees to contribute to the company as a whole..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees more like "Team Members" and less like dispensable labor.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

If you're a competent individual who doesn't mind being humbled every day, Chick-fil-A is not the worst place in the world to work. My managers were mostly easy to work with and the job held me over for a temporary time until more fulfilling full time work was found.

    Cons

It's fast food. Some people really buy into the CFA model and there is room to grow, but odds are you're going to get bogged down by the fact that customer service, especially food service, is a demanding job with very little reward. Long shifts and very short notice about schedules made it impossible to plan anything in advance.

    Pros

This is a great first company to work for. The people are really nice. They are very team centric.

    Cons

Salaries are low. There are heavy religious overtones. Men have to wear a tie and shave their faces.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Relax a little. The world is a diverse interesting place. Allow people to be themselves

    I worked at Chick-fil-A

    Pros

The work environment is great — what you'd expect from a company that's known for great customer service.

    Cons

Leadership can be hired directly instead of moving through the ranks. This causes division as the newly hired manager or assistant manager may have no idea what employees do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire based on non-seniority.
