I really like the company itself, but each franchise owner is different.

I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It was fun. For the most part I really enjoyed it. I liked my co-workers and most of the managers.

    Cons

My franchise owner and his wife were not very good at what they did. They did not listen to employees. They allowed their personal feelings to get in the way and made big mistakes as a result. Employees were not treated well overall. I was promoted, given extra work, did extra training and was never given a pay increase.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Chick-fil-A is a great company, but the franchise owners need to be reigned in and kept closer watch over.

I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Everyone at chick-fil-a is extremely friendly. I met some of my best friends while I worked there. It's a great starting job.

    Cons

It's hard to move up in the work environment. I often found myself doing the same task over and over.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Everyone is so friendly and do not get me wrong you will deal with people that will get the worst out of you but CFA is amazing. They care mostly about guest satisfaction and they will do anything just to work with you. With working at CFA, your managers and team members are not only there to be your managers and team members but also to be your friends!

    Cons

Just like any other restaurant it has it's really busy moments when everything gets crazy. It's a tiring job, regardless of what others think, it actually requires a lot from you.

I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time for more than a year

    Pros

This location offered an uplifting environment, positive coworkers, phenomenal company values, and a general fun place to be. It taught me exceptional customer service and also how to work under pressure in high intensity situations.

    Cons

Work environment is malleable according to current leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Uphold Chick-fil-A wholesome values and keep Cathy's vision going strong, even in the little things. Do not become power and money hungry.

I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Really great atmosphere. Don't have to worry about working Sundays. You learn great people skills and how to respect customers.

    Cons

Very fast paced. Can be very tiring after several hours at a time. Same pay for twice the effort of other fast food jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more forthcoming with employees. My hours were cut for "poor effort" and I was never notified of anything wrong.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Closed on Sundays, management team is nice, works around my college schedule

    Cons

Does not tolerate facial hair, even when neat, openers required to be in restaurant at 5 am, so if you're not the early morning type it's not for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management team so far has been great to me, operator can be a little demanding but he's nice to his employee's. my issue one is with corporate and my advice to them is: try not to be so off the book with everything. Men should be allowed to keep their beards as long as they're clean and trimmed, I hate shaving my face looks and feels weird and I feel like I'm 16 again.
