I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The environment of workers are always friendly and know how to work together to get the job done, and they work around school schedules very well.

    Cons

Some of the customers, however, are not so nice. The pay is minimum wage, and in my experience, there were a lot of days where it never met my standards of what I should be earning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The employees who cannot function well with guests, need to be put in the back or somewhere where they have minimal people-contact (i.e, drinks), also reconsider the pay raises- they kind of suck.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

good job for high school kids, good benefits for college students. my store pays for our books and CFA gives you a scholarship paying for tuition but you have to work 1800 before you can even apply.

    Cons

unless your a boot licker, business or marketing student you will not move up in this company. i've been there for 3 yrs have i haven't been promoted yet but im asked to do the work of managers.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Easy work
    Flexible hours
    Free meals every shift
    Off on Sundays
A $1k scholarship, if you work there long enough
Surprisingly not discriminatory to LGBT employees on the individual store basis (though your mileage may vary)

    Cons

Never-ending turnover of high school age employees that quit after a few weeks
Not much room to get promoted or grow with the company
Training videos aren't helpful for actual problems with customers
Some managers don't act professional at all
Management's push for sales increases focus more on singling out cashiers that are struggling rather than rewarding those who improve
Nearly impossible to get a full 40 hour schedule outside of the holidays
Pay raises are pretty much unheard of

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage a more positive work experience by using positive reinforcement rather than negative when trying to boost check averages/sales. Introduce benefits for full time team members, and give raises to loyal employees. Consider making the hiring process more thorough to ensure that possible new employees are really a good "fit" for the company.

I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free meal after working 5 hours or more.
    Chance of college tuition help.
    Generally happy customers.

    Cons

Never a chance to take a 2 second breather.
The speed at which people are served is never good enough, there are no real compliments on how you are doing.
Get yelled at if you don't say "My Pleasure" to someone when they say thanks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Relax just a little bit. Sure you are trying to feed people fast, but aren't you trying to be like different fast food places and talk to people and make relationships instead of pushing them out the door?

Awesome management that treats us like real people! I love that the company puts its people before profit and that they are closed on Sunday. I know this would be a great place to start a career!

    Cons

I really can not think of any. Sometimes others can be difficult but work is not suppose to be easy!

I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

People tend to become family there. My boss is amazing! He hugs us and tells us he appreciates us each day! They work well with your life schedule also.

    Cons

You can only move up so far. Terrible benefits......no 401K, paid vacation, maternity leave, etc.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Nice people, they actually care about you. Very flexible, you take a break whenever you need to. Another great thing is that you get free food.

    Cons

Very hard to move up in scale. Not as much value for hard work as I would have liked to see. Even if you work 10 times harder then the person next to you, there's a %50 chance it won't take you anywhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    reward hard work.
