I have been working at Chili's
Pros – Meet interesting people
Challenging work environment
Cons – Not allowed to have enough staff. Will work unnecessarily hard as a manager doing employee functions.
Advice to Senior Management – Be more committed to making money. Staff the stores.

I have been working at Chili's part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Money is the only pro, when you get to Chilis you'll understand that this isn't a positive work environment. Its a 'try to survive every day environment'.
Cons – -Management completely changing their attitudes about topics from one hour to the next
-Constant bickering and fighting between the Back of the House and Front of the House
-Unreasonable expectations from crew, little customer service.
Advice to Senior Management – Start showing some employee loyalty.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Chili's part-time for less than a year
Pros – Fun environment, Laid back at times, Very busy at others, Flexible work schedule, Okay pay for teens who are looking for pocket change.
Cons – It can get hectic, Standing for long hours, Can be dysfunctional at times, Managers can be unprofessional at times.
Advice to Senior Management – Maybe managers should take classes on how to run a business and then things will run a little more smoothly.

I have been working at Chili's part-time for more than a year
Pros – Recognition when you do a great job.
If serving can make quite a lot of money.
Good team oriented atmosphere.
Cons – Training was hit or miss.
Lack of dedicated bussers or food runners.
Given a promotion, but was given very little hours as server, with unrealistically high expectations and poor training.
Busy nights get very stressful, especially when understaffed.
Advice to Senior Management – Take a closer look at the trainers. Some do a great job, others really don't care at all. When promoting individuals, give them the opportunity to actually work those shifts, so they can get the hang of the job.
Hire back bussers, so hosts can focus on hosting, and servers can handle multiple tables efficiently. Otherwise, include hosts in the server's mandatory tipshare, as they pick up the slack for bussing when servers fall behind.

I worked at Chili's full-time for more than a year
Pros – They do offer servers cheaper healthcare, and dental via payroll deduction, so it is cheaper than signing up by yourself at insurance companies. Great atmosphere, loved working there and the food of course is delicious.
Cons – Very busy restaurant, so if you're not use to you will have to learn quick, sometimes you don't get the tip you deserve due to other functions in the business going smoothly. Like cooks putting out food cold and incorrect. As with any waitress job though.
Advice to Senior Management – Overall a good place to work, I think there should be food runners for busy locations at least similar to TGIFridays for the servers.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Chili's full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – corporate will back you up in a pinch, our store was esp great during the hurricane..met wonderful people. 50% discount at sister restaurants
Cons – its really hard to give great service, via 'team service' or otherwise when our bussers are taken away..we have 8-12 tables between 2 servers we have to bus EVERYTHING ourselves, run food all while getting double sat (God forbid someone needs an allergy menu, or takes forever to order, then we're really backed up) and the menu is all over the place
