    Management doesn't have a clue

    Food Server (Former Employee)
    North Las Vegas, NV

ProsFamily restaurant and most customers are pleasant. Most employees were pleasant to work with. Casual footwear saves your feet.

ConsTraining is very poor. Management did not participate in any of the training. They relied on peer workers to train. Sort of the blind leading the blind. POS system sucks .. very poorly designed. No breaks allowed during your entire shift. No lunch break , no 15 minute bread, nada.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet off your butt and do something. Manager instructed me to listen to training videos with loud distractions in the same room. Out of the 4 trainers I had in 3 weeks only one was qualified. Managers need to test employees for drugs especially the ones with a prior drug problem.

    Good environment, bad management.

    Server (Current Employee)
    Waipahu, HI

ProsIts an easy and casual job with potential to make some decent money serving. Its a job with money you can live off of while going to school or during a transition period.

ConsThere are no benefits to working here except for tips, which of course the company does not provide. They have a maximum amount of health insurance they provide to employees so most can't get insurance from here. I asked for health insurance coverage after working at least 30 hours a week for over a year and was told I would get my hours cut to 2 shifts a week so I wouldn't be eligible anymore.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake some consideration to your employees. You can't keep cutting what little perks there are to this job and expect your company to thrive through hardwork provided by your employees.

    Headed wherever the competition goes

    Restaurant Manager (Former Employee)

ProsPay well and if you work really hard and are well liked by the superiors then you will get a chunk of the raise pool. Otherwise you'll get your measly mediocre " good job making it another year 1%"

ConsWork life balance. They describe their work life balance expectation but really they also expect a lot of work to get done. When you're salaried that equates to innumerable hours.

Trying to compete with every corner of the market and that makes for a hectic kitchen and restaurant.

ConsHorrible Health Ins. No balance of work and home

    Went from good to terrible.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe best reasons to work at Chili's Too is honestly the coworkers. Funny, upbeat, optimistic, even when times weren't so good.

ConsManagement was terrible. Supplies constantly not stocked or ordered. Poor scheduling.

    downhill...

    Server/Bartender (Former Employee)
    Chicago, IL

ProsNot many pros by the time I left. It was a lot of fun to work there before they were franchised. Afterwards, the quality of food went down as did the clientele.

ConsCompany started caring more about the bottom line than the staff and work environment. They kept hiring more people and it became nearly impossible to get full time which made it cost more for benefits.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the time to make your staff happy. Higher moral means a happier staff and happier customers.

So much work, not enough money.

    Server (Current Employee)
    Searcy, AR

ProsCash in pocket daily. Make alot of life long friends. Tips arent too bad.

ConsIt has become nothing but saving as much money as possible. After the server is cut from the floor, expect to be there for atleast 2-3 more hours doing a ton of side work and on the clock for only 2.63 an hr. Management is a joke.

Advice to Senior ManagementQuality before money.
