    I have been working at Chili's full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Good pay compared to competition, Pretty decent hours depending on location, Good culture, Great tools to get the numbers you need and see what you need to do to improve.

    Cons

    Hard labor plan, you will definitely spend a very decent amount of time in position, a lot of the time it is dishwashing, hopping on the line and cooking, or out front bussing tables and running food. High turnover rate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Worry a little less about maxing out your bonus, and a little more about keeping your current guests and employees happy.

    I worked at Chili's part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Manangers were nice and attentive, Staff was like a family, Half priced food and also half priced food at Maggianos and other Chili's location with Employee Card.

    Cons

    Long hours, no breaks. No time to eat, and weekly GEM scores were extremely annoying.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Spend less time on perfecting GEM Scores and listen to your employees. The problem isn't always the server and is sometimes the customers.

    working with the staff - good people for the most part
    easy to schedule days off

    Cons

    Long hours
    Bonuses are not very large unless you work at a very busy store
    missed lots of weddings and family functions due to other managers being off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Regional Director comes in and what he sees is how he thinks you run your shifts all the time.
    Constantly changing the menu upsets guests.
    too many coupons for free stuff and why have expired coupons if you want us to take any coupon they bring in.

    Pros

    -Very fun and fast paced environment.
    -If you can manage time, you should be able to make 100 a shift
    -Flexible shifts

    Cons

    -Poor management
    -Clientele in my area are very poor/lower class
    -Very hard to bus tables efficiently when balancing 3-5 other tables...you are supposedly a team with your partner, but they wont pick up slack often.

    Pros

    Fun staff. Fast pace. High energy. Front of house shifts were decent most of the time.

    Cons

    Spend most of your time cooking. Everything was microwaved due to no time to prep and cook properly. Managers always having to work in kitchen. Constant issues in the kitchen lead to having to comp a lot of things, then you get in trouble for comping things. Constant high stress level. Women and single employees are treated better than those married with kids and men.. Absolutely no concern for quality of life. Too many menu changes. Even the full time kitchen employees don't know the ingredients. But hey, they just throw them in the microwave anyway. Chili's does not care about employees or customers, only the bottom line. I worked for multiple Chili's in multiple states. I thought it was bad in my original area, but is worse in other areas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop trying to think of grand new ideas and start caring even one ounce about your employees and customers. Stop caring so much about shareholders, they will be happy if your customers are happy. Fire the board, president, and everyone at the top and hire someone with a brain. Maybe someone from Chic-fil-A. Probably the lowest paid person at Chic-fil-A or In-N-Out could run this company better.

    Friendly and fun work environment woth plenty of opportunity to advance in your career fun contests half off meals

    Customers can be very ride at time and coworkers aren't always the nicest management isn't always very professional and doesn't know what they're doing half the time will work you as much as they possibly can
