    Pros

Great atmosphere, class-leading benefits, leading edge technology.

    Cons

Average pay, hard to advance because few people leave...maybe that's a good thing!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a look at pay scales for certain positions and adjust to current pay trends.

Former Employee - NOC Operator in Cypress, CA

I worked at Christie Digital full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

-Was a great place for me to pick up a lot of skills I hadn't previously had the chance to use first hand
    -Twice a year bonuses
    -Great coworkers and middle management

    Cons

-No room for advancement, at one point I had HR straight up lie to me about opportunities outside my department
-NOC was nearly impossible if you have a family. You were shamed if you asked for any time off.
-Low pay scale, yearly bonuses (based on profits) cited as fair enough compensation
-The majority of management have known each other for some decades (all white men) and will routinely cover for each other despite poor performance and complaints to HR about their behavior. They were incredibly overpaid and would make it a point to flaunt it with yachts and flashy cars.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

End the boys club, look at qualifications, not connections. Maybe even set foot in the departments you manage

    Pros

Attractive Pay and Bonus Structure and Opportunities are there if you want them. Fitness facility and full service cafeteria

    Cons

Demand for product is still present but on the backside of a peak

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep innovating and reward your employees who think outside the box. Sometimes the solutions are right there you just need to dig for it

I have been working at Christie Digital full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Profit sharing Bonuses paid out twice a year.

    Cons

There are no annual performance review raises or visible salary pay structures in place for their NOC staff members. Salaries are paid well below minimum standards for Southern California Technical jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In order to keep and or attract intelligent, well educated employees management will need to raise the pay scale of their technical staff member employees or it will be just a matter of time before they find better, higher paying jobs.

I have been working at Christie Digital full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

"Small Company" feel. Also, they are very flexible when it comes to scheduling. Company provides profit sharing bonus twice a year, which does help boost overall employee morale.

    Cons

Sometimes upper management would not be prepared for new customers/business. The pay/compensation is slightly below industry averages for all positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to communicate more effectively with employees.

Current Employee - Programmer Analyst in Cypress, CA

I have been working at Christie Digital

    Pros

    - Very high salary for a company that is growing fast
    - Large bonus is reflective of value towards employees and to retain important talent
    - Very low turnover

    Cons

    - Very hard to move up the ladder because senior management is very comfortable with compensation as stated above
    - Only way to move up the corporate ladder is to replace your supervisor, which is highly unlikely

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Restructure the organization such that upward mobility is more visible and feasible
    - Better performance monitoring

Former Employee - Electrical Engineering Co-Op in Kitchener, ON (Canada)

I worked at Christie Digital as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    - Interesting and cutting edge products
    - Fun co-workers and generally good workplace culture
    - Opportunity to learn from doing a variety of different tasks (I worked with the PCB group, in the clean room, at my desk and at a soldering station. Lots of different experiences gained)
    - Gym and cafeteria in-house

    Cons

    - Very bureaucratic. Sometimes things move slow because so many people must weigh in on a decision.
    - Disorganization. There are many desks that are just full of spare wires in a big tangled mess. Sometimes it would take a long time for me to find the necessary tools to build a prototype.
    - Dry. Co-workers are generally friendly, but also can be very work-focused to the point where they become isolated from each other.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to cut through some of the bureaucracy. I'm not sure what explicit advice could help here, but sometime it is just ridiculous.
