Pros
The environment at chrysler was really nice. You manager and direct are very nice, and they are very happy to help you get started
Cons
I do not think there are much down side of Chrysler, if there is, I would say giving more optional assignment to the intern who work there.
Advice to Senior Management
I think the leadership mangers, or director at Chrysler are great. We had a few meeting with the CIO that talks about the experiences of the past, CIO was really open to give us any answer that we asked.
Pros
Large enough for wide range of opportunites. Samll enough to get things done
Cons
Work life balance is difficult
Advice to Senior Management
Retension of the best
Pros
Family type environment, lots of lifelong friends interesting work if you are a car person.
Cons
Work balance not even betwen corporate expectations and real life at a plant
Advice to Senior Management
Favortism is too obvious, balance and equal opportunitiies for all is not happening.
Pros
positive work environment, opportunity for advancements
Cons
long hours, some weekends worked
Pros
Cool jeep brand. Great HQ bldg in Auburn Hills. Cool people and informal working atmosphere. Good bonuses when times are good. Strong focus now on improving the products.
Cons
Chaos of the Fiat management style now that the companies are merged. Seems like weekend work is expected. Too many rapid changes and changes in direction to maintain steady long term growth. Lack of established processes.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer development opportunities to employees allowing them to rotate and move every 24-36 months. Define a goal based incentive comp plan that goes well below just the executive level.
Pros
You have the opportunity to drive vehicles.
There are opportunities to network with company management.
Wide variety of jobs fields available
Cons
Very disorganized. It took 6 weeks to get something for them to get me an assignment for the summer.
Things are based on who you know not what you do.
There is a negative attitude at the world headquarters.
Advice to Senior Management
Look at what your middle managers actually do. Many employee abuse the system and take advantage of their freedom. Also there are many incompetent managers.
Pros
Job satifaction, Good pay and benifits.
Cons
Bad center managers are common. Promotions are political
Pros
Educational programs allow you to maximize your learning potential, allowing you to learn everything from software used daily to following your dreams for advanced degrees, and work related classes.
Cons
Large company that does not allow close hands on interaction between employee and supervisor.
Pros
Nice facility. Some passionate people, great products. Some middle management good to work for. Some fun events, such as family fun day at the facility.
Cons
Good ole boy network firmly in place. Salaries not consistent with job duties. 50 hr plus week on 40 hr salary. Lots of beaurcracy. Every director and above wants things done their way. Some upper management is more interested in getting next promotion instead of helping their staff get the job done.
Advice to Senior Management
More work life balance. Revisit salary and job duities. Stop with last minute travel to Turin, allow all to fly same class, not just upper management in first class. Make all reqquirements the same across directors.
Pros
Multiple projects and work hard
Cons
There was too much less compensation than it was before and we had to work hard to wrap up our projects.
Advice to Senior Management
Better utilize working force and technologies
