Pros – Carbuilding is an exciting and dynamic business at the leading edge of technology. Chrysler has always developed the most innovative styling and features, and the most exciting powertrains in the business. Customers are very loyal and very passionate about their vehicles, and this is felt throughout the company.

Cons – Government interference has severely damaged the credit market which is killing the auto industry (and many other businesses). Chysler is being forced to cut DEEP to reduce costs and it will hurt the product development process going forward. The US auto industry takes a beating in the liberal media and from many government officials for asking for loans, yet the legislators that created the credit mess by forcing banks to give loans to unqualified people are allowed to hide behind the scenes. In the meantime they pass regulations that further add to the cost and complexity of vehicles, often for the benefit of nobody but special interest groups. Americans need to wake up and speak up to our legislators that US manufacturing will soon be gone if we continue these liberal policies!

Advice to Senior Management – Drive lean thinking through the entire organization to reduce costs and speed products to market.
