    Pros

Great place to work for. Generous compensation packages and benefits for jobs level 7 and above. Rights of employees are well-protected.

    Cons

Overall, several groups lagging in technology. Large number of employees with limited basic skills and inefficient in their work. Company is slow to embrace change.

    Pros

Great work environment and internal support systems to help employees excel in their positions. Opportunity to move within the company and promotion from within is a priority.

    Cons

Not enough autonomy. In my opinion, not enough authority and trust is placed within the field management teams, leading to slow decision making and response times.

    Pros

I'm happy to be a shareholder of the company because they know how to make money. Bonuses are also very good (however I think this can also be a con due to the sense of entitlement that it creates, keeping people in roles and in the organization for far too long).

    Cons

Culture, leadership, communication, infrastructure. Politics are placed above performance, and there is no safe outlet for employees who wish to voice a concern. All meaningful work seems to be done at the AVP level or below, with many managers at the VP level and above lacking the skills and courage needed to lead, inspire, and innovate to stay competitive.

    Advice to Management

Don't equate strong financial performance with a good place to work. Spend some time seriously upgrading leadership development, and move the blockers out of the organization to make room for younger, capable talent who are critical to the company's future success.

    Pros

Company employees in every department who are professional and pleasant to work with.
Flexible hours and openess to remote working.
Excellent health benefits including pension and 401k.
Many opportunities for internal training and advancement.

    Cons

Chubb is a large worldwide organization, with many layers of management and reporting. The necessary bureaucracy can be overwhelming at times. Management is always seeking feedback and input from employees on tips for improvement. At times such meetings, performance reviews, mandatory training sessions seem a burden to normal job workflows.

    Advice to Management

Never stop seeking suggestions for change.
