Good company to work for during high school and starting college.

Senior Assistant Manager (Former Employee) Lewisville, TX

ProsSchedule flexibility making it easy to plan shifts while going to school since business hours are focused during the evening. Ability to see movies for free.

ConsConstant late nights working till 1 AM or later, never have weekends off, required to work on holidays. Pay is low for the requirements of the job compared to other assistant management positions at other businesses .

Fun job for the most part, good opportunities

Assistant Manager (Current Employee) Fort Worth, TX

ProsLots of hours available during peak times of the year. Plenty of opportunities to do things around the building - projection, box office, concessions, ushering, maintenance. Good management team at my location.

ConsPay is less than awesome, plus there is no overtime except for holiday hours on certain holidays at certain times.

Advice to Senior ManagementPromote quality employees to managers only. Offer higher starting pay to employees and overtime pay year-round after 40 hours. Don't focus on corporate audits so much, takes the emphasis off of the guests.

    Fantastic

    Usher (Former Employee) Brownsville, TX

ProsAs an Usher I spent most of my time cutting tickets, restocking the concessions, and cleaning the theater. The biggest pro to working as a Cinemark Usher were never being being bored with my job because Ushers alternate duties such as cutting tickets, cleaning the theater, and restocking and helping concessions.

ConsThe main con to working at Cinemark was that not only would we work all holidays, but holidays were the busiest times for us.

    Floor Staff for a year

Floor Staff (Former Employee) San Francisco, CA

ProsGood place to work while in school.

ConsWeekends and Nights are usually taken from your leisure time.

Advice to Senior ManagementRotate jobs so it's not so boring. My Theater was small so we would switch on all the different types of jobs that were required on a day-to-day operation for floors staff workers.
