    Pros

    - staff cast-pass you can use your cast-pass at any cineworld cinema and get 2 free tickets with it each time you go which is great for watching movies with friends.
    - 40% of all food and drinks
    - friendly staff
    - you get to work during cool events such as premiers
    - 6.41 an hour for under 21s
    - always 12hrs gap between shifts
    - nice staff room with tv, ipod docking station, microwave, iron and ironing board and fridge.

    Cons

    - only half an hours break which is not enough time to eat
    - lots of favouritism from managers meaning certain people have to suffer
    - not treated equally
    - very very rude customers
    - management treat you like your just a number
    - lots of standing around on quiet days
    - made to come in for staff meetings at crazy times like 10:30pm on a wednesday evening
    - you have to be available to work any time
    - sometimes wont finish work until 3am
    - sometimes being made to wait more than 5 hours before having a break or being forced to take brake after 2 hours.

I worked there for over a year and had a fantastic time but in the end left because a supervisor made me cry when he refused to give me a break after 6 hours and wouldn't let me leave my till even though I was shaking and about to pass out. He shouted in my face in front of lots of customers and it was very embarrassing.

    Pros

    Good discount on food
    Free tickets to movies
Good working hours and flexibility if you are a student

    Cons

    Working late (until 12am)
Customers complaining about high ticket prices and not understanding how orange Wednesday works
Hygiene isn't as high as it should be so can you might see/hear some gross things like rat/mice infestation or cockroaches
Management aren't very proactive to fix problems even if it violates H&S regulations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hygiene needs to be much higher considering you are serving the general public and serving food.

    Pros

you get to watch free films and nothing else really, job is very easy and simple for team members only.

    Cons

This company does not care about employees and customers; business strategy is quantity not quality; they care more about selling food than films and customers and does not treat staff very well all poor management comes from the head and ends up on team members, no one cares and very poor salaries

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No point giving advice! no one bothers

    Pros

You get to watch films for free, but you will not want to do it at the cinema you work at because you will want to make the most of every second away you have.

    Cons

The problem with the company is that there are two different types of cinema they own, first of all the quieter ones are dire, there is never enough work to do and you can find yourself going hours between customers, however on the other hand the busy cinemas are just that; very busy! The company treats both types of cinemas the same. Be prepared to have a lot asked of you and not a lot if not nothing given back if you're working in one of the busier sites. In the busy sites every member of staff is asked far more of them than they should for the pittance they are paid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your staff a lot more. The operations managers that I've met on the whole all do a brilliant job but the assistant and general managers havent got a clue.

Former Employee - Multifunctionnal Employee in London, England (UK)

    Pros

You get a chance to watch movies for free,
You share nice moments with friendly co-workers and
it is possible to switch working full-time to part-time and vice-versa.

    Cons

The job is not mentally challenging,
the managers are very disrespectful towards their employees, not well-trained and definitely not educated, overall there is a complete lack of communication between staff members and management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want a lower employee turnover rate, you should learn to respect them and treat them well.
