    Pros

Outstanding technicians. Good amount of autonomy for day-to-day work. You make your own schedule for the most part. I really enjoyed interacting with customers and seeing some very interesting places & businesses.

    Cons

The main issue with Cintas is that they hire their managers straight from college or other industries as managers, not from their technicians. As such, their service managers have little to no industry knowledge. In other words, they don't hire managers from the technician ranks unless you have a college degree. These managers have little to no idea what they're talking about compared to the technicians who actually complete the tasks and understand exactly how long certain tasks take and what is required.

Additionally, I have found that many managers have little to no integrity. They'll say & do whatever they need to in order to meet their sales/service quotas, please their supervisors, and advance their careers. It is very demoralizing to the technicians who actually care about the fire protection industry & customer service.

    Advice to Management

Hire service managers from the technician pool and I promise your profits & efficiency will increase. Also, focus more on real customer service over profits and again, your profits will increase due to repeat customers and additional services rendered.

    Pros

    Coworkers were awesome.
Training was top notch and extensive.
The job was cut and dry. If you are a people person and good at sales, you will do well.
    Looks great on the resume.

    Cons

No cons that I can think of, except there were days where hours could be long. Definitely not a 9-5 job, more like 50-55 hours/week.

    Pros

Not a Darn Thing! This Company Sucks!

    Cons

Expected to work 60+ hours but only paid for 40+, Management sucks beyond belief! They will "fudge" your pay check up and then act as if they are not sure how it happened. You will have to get up at 3am to travel for a meeting and then expected to work your full day and God if you are planning to leave take your vacation first, they Will Not pay you your earned vacation and beware, that they will only pay you your base wage and not your commission... They are so damn greedy, you can never, ever do enough to make them happy. Oh and every three months you will have to get up at 3am on a Saturday and travel up North to do inventory that you don't get paid for! This company sucks... Not one employee was happy, always complaining and back stabbing one another!

    Advice to Management

You all suck and should be fired! You are not leaders, you are fake wanna-be's who can't handle a hard days work in the real world/field!

    Pros

You will learn a lot about service recovery. There are ample opportunities for advancement due to high turnover in leadership roles.

    Cons

You will get burned out dealing with the same recurring issues that are structural and cannot be fixed. Once you get into a leadership role, you will quickly discover why the turnover is so high.

    Advice to Management

Incentivize your front line to really live your mission and values. Encourage junior management to find work-life balance to reduce turnover and fix the long term organizational problems within many of the operations.
