I have been working at Cintas full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

There are many opportunities for growth.
Training is lengthy for a good reason since Cintas has many products to offer to their customers.
You will work 4 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, this depends on your route volume.
    Great benefits, medical dental, vision
    401(k) with company match
Eligible for profit sharing after one year of work

    Cons

Starting compensation could be better since it is a fast paced environment and a hard physical labor.
If you are skipping a route you may work 5 days a week instead of 4 days.

I worked at Cintas as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

Helped me learn quickly how to work hard and be selfless for the company. Exposure to all areas of business. The people. Travel.

    Cons

Even though you were selfless for the company the company was never really selfless for their employees. Work/life balance is out the door! Sales is extremely cut throat! Lack of collaboration between departments (especially sales and ops) All sales cared about was getting business in at whatever cost, irrespective of capacity and time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your culture is your culture, I don't see it changing so advice is almost pointless.

    Pros

Good benefits, good hours, good leadership, chance for advancement in the company. Good training offered by cintas.

    Cons

Commission pay is not adequate, must sell and cold call more often than desireable. No follow up when an issue was brought up to management relating to improving your job.

I worked at Cintas full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits. SSR pay is good depending on the location and the route you may get. Internal promotion is usually considered first, but from here on out better make sure you have a college education or you won't get past the supervisor level. Strong company, no fear of outsourcing here. Good return on 401K profit sharing.

    Cons

The hours, especially in management are extremely difficult. No work life balance. Company agendas always change and so do the bonus structures all the way down to the SSR level which can be extremely frustrating. Communication from Corporate and throughout the location level is extremely poor. Expectations are set unreasonably high and management partners are given sometimes 2 or more full time jobs but expected to perform flawlessly. Corporate management is extremely out of touch with location realities and the location GM's know this and consistently hide behind false promises and half truths to appease the higher ups. Engagement and ESP visits are more of a witch hunt than actually trying to help locations or improve employee moral.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider being honest with each other throughout the entire company from top to the bottom. Stop telling people within management how good they are paid and actually pay them good with more reasonable hours and expectations. Be more loyal to the people who made you into the company you are.

    Pros

Nice coworkers who are overloaded too. They will help when they get a breath. Culture is great is you marry the company.

    Cons

Worked seven days a week, 14-16 hours during the week, 8 hours on Saturday and 5-6 hours on Sunday. I was salaried and they take advantage of salary.
