Former Employee - Production Supervisor  in  Omaha, NE
Former Employee - Production Supervisor in Omaha, NE

    Pros

Cintas is a very stable company

    Cons

Company keeps strict control over spending. You will never have enough of what you need to ever slow down. you must be at 100% or higher every second or you fall behind and then have to work longer to catch up. Supervisors are salary and are expected to work 10-11 hrs a day minimum.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that a work/life balance is important. the hourly plant personnel do not have loyalty to the job and stop the second that the bell rings, regardless of whether the work is complete. Many pace out their jobs so that they wont be asked to help others.

Current Employee - SSR - Sales Service Representative in Boston, MA

    Pros

The Partners are always the best part! With hard work, there is a good potential to make good money. The 4 day work week is the best!!!

    Cons

It's not always easy to sell catalog. The commission is only 8%. There should be a significant increase in the base pay to even things out. Some SSR's are making a heck of a lot more money than others because of their routes. It's not a fair system.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise base pay and make incentives easier to attain.

    Pros

This company really tries to take care of its employees through its benefits and developmental opportunities.

    Cons

Management not always on one accord. "Throw-You-Into-The-Lions-Den-Mentality" often with not the appropriate training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Once there is a clear operational vision, then everyone can succeed.
