    Cons

No way to move up even though they tell you. Slim raise only after a year. Half of my check whent to "benefits"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at Cintas

    Pros

Fair pay, good benefits. Many chances to earn commissions on product sales. There is a lot of freedom to do things your way.

    Cons

Horrible hours if you haven't paid your dues and worked up to a good route. Long days; mine were usually 12-14hrs. I had incompetent managers at the location I worked, but that will vary from place to place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that if you fire a route driver, that route gets split between other drivers. When this happens, not every stop will get done at the same time it was done previously. Just an FYI

    I worked at Cintas full-time

    Pros

Great compensation, lots of potential for advancement, promotes from within in most cases

    Cons

overworks the employees to no end, expects long long hours, limited support from management, acts like a typical old-school big corporation in how it treats their employees (anti-union, does not value seniority and experience, micromanages to the nth degree)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

hire more employees so that each one isn't so over worked. this would reduce turnover and create more stability. this would increase job performance, which would increase customer satisfaction. this would increase new business and revenue. this would improve customer perception and lead to more customers. this would truly set cintas as the leader in their market as opposed to trying to maintain this status barely.

    Pros

Great learning experience, and decent work atmosphere

    Cons

They work you into the ground and it created a high turnover for the company. The pay is very poor for how much they expect out of you. An average work week is 55+ hours and that is usually on the low end of the spectrum.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create a better work to life balance as well as divide up the workload between all partners.

I worked at Cintas full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    None ..nothing, nada, zilch, RUN

    Cons

I am so glad to be gone from this hell hole. They should call their employees prisoners not partners. This is the most degrading job I have ever had. The salaried people and the route drivers won't see it this way necessarily because they are considered the bread and butter of this company. The Distribution center, customer service and poor order fulfillment is the pits. They micro manage everything. If you have to use the restrooms outside of your two breaks and lunch, its a problem. If you talk ...moreso in order fulfillment, its a problem. If you get up and talk, upper management will walk around to see what you are doing, to try to intimidate you from socializing. Their systems don't work, their workflow process don't work. Nothing works. So many mangers and what for? None of them are educated, smart, logical or classy. They treat their employees like indentured servants. They expect you to bend over backwards for them and they change your schedule at a moment notice, cut your hours, then expect you to sign up for over time later. Management walks around and ask you "Isn't this company amazing"? Like you should be happy to be working here, and being treated like this. I heard management say, she doesn't care about those who left or who are leaving because they are meeting their numbers regardless. What type of management says that openly in the middle of the call center, so employees can hear? The employees who have been there the longest, are tired of this place and no there is no advancement, but they feel their is no hope, they don't think there is anything better. They are fearful of not having a job so the conform to this communism work life. If you are a new hire, they will not tell you that training is very little and not comprehensive. They will not tell you, you won't get vacation for a year and then its only five days. No personal time. There is no work life balance here. Also, this company is a multi billion dollar company; but they don't give a 401K match?? What??? They have this KPI system that they live by, but no one can explain how it really works. that's because the manager that introduced this system, resigned. This place is a horrible place for anyone but it is really horrible to minorities, minorities not just saying African Americans, Polish, Hispanic etc. and they knowingly treat people unfair. I am so glad to be gone. It was the worst job I've ever had ....If you are interviewing for order fulfillment, or customer service run your butt off!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your managers need to check out a Fred Pryor seminar on how to manage people. See if you can get a buy one get one their and take up a seminar on professionalism wihy you are there.

They tend to over work you and they really stress safety but in all honesty the most dangerous place on earth

Make sure you have enough help during peak times like around the holiday's. Get Bigger trash Cans to deal with all the waste that comes out of the building at night.

I have been working at Cintas full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Stable company with strong culture, above average benefits and good compensation plan. Company offers great initial training programs and encourages professionalism and high ethics. Good company with a strong foundation and values at a corporate level but sometimes gets lost at the local level.

    Cons

Company sells itself on diversity and internal growth throughout the hiring process. Both are superficial promises. Limited opportunity for advancement. Most leadership positions are held by white males. Upper management makes false promises and lacks follow through. Follow through creates distrust and disengaged employees. Employee morale is low and most are just going through the motions. Upper management does not appreciate the value diverse employees have to offer. Most promotions are given to 'yes men" without initiative or proactive problem solving skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees feedback. Follow through on your commitments. Stop making false promises to avoid difficult conversations.
