    Pros

If you put in the work you have a good chance of advancement in a short amount of time, its a great place to learn about management in a retail setting, if you work for it you can get a good bonus

    Cons

Pay is below average for Assistant manager pay in the convenience store industry, there is a lot of pressure from the top down, schedule hours are not enough to have double coverage for all the times you really should have double coverage

    Advice to Management

Give more hours and lay off of store level management

    Pros

    Managers work with your schedule.

    Cons

No breaks. You're allowed to eat, but you must be ready to get back on the register at any moment. There are only 2 people working at time for my store.
People tend to come and go, so it's best to have a flexible schedule, because it will affect your hours.

    Pros

I currently have non. All of the pros are disappearing. We use to set our own schedules that is going away.

    Cons

I have no work/home life balance the job is 24/7 365 even on vacation I have to work. We also promote from within up until Manager then you have to be willing to relocate ie: sell your home and move your entire family just to step into a Market Manager role.

    Advice to Management

you will have no life. your phone will ring through ALL hours of the night. They make you run stores on so little hours and also want you to get the work of 3 people done everyday.
