    Pros

    Good incentives to improve knowledge base. Company genuinely "seeks" ways to improve all aspects of business practices, with a positive atmosphere.

    Cons

    Lack of accountability at mid-management level, not pro-active (through 2013) at the senior level. Work standards are very poor at the least, and sometimes non-existent. Major effort is put into Kaisen events, only to ignore most of the suggested changes / corrections. Employee performance is evaluated on personal levels, disregarding any inefficiencies in the job procedures. The apparent "theme" when results expectations are not what they should be, is to point the finger at subordinates and say, "It's their fault", then wait for the next "downsizing" to kick them out.

    Advice to Management

    Do your jobs. Collecting a salary while seeing how long you can "stay under the radar", is a cop-out, and should not be tolerated by upper management / shareholders.

    Pros

    Work was seamless.Great People to work with.Focus on meeting production standards and their was no pressure. Pizza...Pizza...Pizza!...umm.

    Cons

    If you have a big heart and wear your emotions on your sleeve...this place will chew you up and spit you out.

    Advice to Management

    Your Faces will turn to Alabaster...when you find your Servants are your Masters.

    Very clean working environment Relationships with other employees

    Little opportunity to advance Employee morale is not important

    Advice to Management

    Please listen to your employees. They know more than you think and have positive ideas. Allow them to be heard without being made to feel inferior.

    Pros

    Found that most employees were great to work with

    Cons

    Management does not care about how much time employees have put into company, they only look at bottom line. If they lay you off, don't even look to see if you can be moved to another place in company. Know first had they just let you go.

    Advice to Management

    Management needs to be more in tune with their employees. They just drop the ball when it comes to understanding what can help to improve.

    Pros

    The people (peers) are great to work with. They offer tuition reimbursement. The only other positive is the location. Not a lot of big aerospace companies in the IE.

    Cons

    Hire from outside, no promotion from within, poor review process, no raises, biased pro-management HR. People with the most experience in the department get the lowest pay. Management doesn't listen to the people.

    Advice to Management

    Take the time and effort to invest in your most valuable asset and develop your people so they can be promoted within. How can you create loyalty from your employees if you are not loyal to them? The employees have low morale because management keeps bailing out on them. No one sticks around long enough to make a positive difference. They are all out to beef up their LinkedIn profiles.

    Pros

    Knowing how many people were temporary workers!

    Cons

    Temporary work ranging from 1 month to 2 years. No benefits! Excessive hours! Horrible planning!

    Advice to Management

    Hire people. Stop giving 15 cent raises! Pay fair labor wages!

    Pros

    is a relatively clean workplace , good people working there

    Cons

    everyone tries hard , very skilled machinists some 40 pus years of experience , all being treated like they were lost children, management heavy , so the solution ? they hire even more management ! they just arent getting it ! some areas such as tool crib and maintainence has No management at all !

    Advice to Management

    Hire a New leader that doesnt do bandaid fixes ,more managers in the shop just creates more, problems. actually maybe you should just sell this division to someone who knows how to run a machine shop !

    Pros

    CAP Engineering secretary or administrative assistant was helpful, professional and maintained a positive attitude despite a high pressure, unhealthy environment.

    Cons

    The director was clueless as to who was performing and was easily swayed by a several lackeys who spent most of their time attempting to make trouble within the department. It was a sweat shop, they used you to work impossible hours over multiple projects with virtually no resources to do the work. RMSS support poor at best due to extreme workload of single POC and possibly lack of US standards knowledge. There were three trouble makers whom were favored by the clueless director, one left in 2011 and another left in 2012 for Moog. The third is still there in a senior position and spends most of his time advertising minor mistakes of others and taking credit for other's works.

    Advice to Management

    Get a clue.

    Pros

    The people that work there do the best they can with what little is given to them. Everyone digs in their heels and works hard to try to accomplish the impossible.

    Cons

    Management, Lack of Processes, Lack of Direction, Too many Chiefs going in different directions, No solid foundation or vision to move forward with.

    Pros

    They are very organized place to work.

    Cons

    The management seems to create a very stress filled place to work. They seem to immerse themselves in the thick of thin things and never seem to get things done. Another word wheel spinning going on there. Also, there's very high turn employee over rate.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees, and quit acting like everything is good. Quit fooling yourselves in to thinking that your employees are happy. They are not! Quit trying to do more with less. You are killing your employees. A minimum of four employees have died over the last four years.
