I worked at Cisco Systems as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

very flexible. you can choose your working time. normally people don't have a fixed desk. I like working there very much. and also, people there are very friendly and easy-going

    Cons

I don't think there's any downside. maybe one thing a little bit annoying is that we don't have fixed desks. so as you know, if you coming late, you may not find a place to seat, or you can go other floor to find a place..

    Pros

Empower employee to pursue opportunity found in the market

    Cons

Worse top management in China, out of control in Cloud, Channel partner system and market pricing. It's pace to lose to Huawei if keep so.

I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

As the IT industry giant, Cisco hold very complete product line, also has a relatively high market share. For young people, is a good place to display their talent, learning foreign culture. The company is relatively stable, providing salary and benefits in the medium level in the industry.

    Cons

The scale of the company expanded too fast, especially in recent years, the number of employees is growing too fast. Similar with those giant companies, the company has the inevitable emergence of internal bureaucratic, slow response to market changes and competition. More and more policies and procedures within the company, account team need to waste a lot of time dealing with internal affairs. Wages have also gradually became less competitive.

    Advice to Management

Should simplify the internal mechanism and process, keep the company agility. Recovery of salary growth mechanism.
