Not for Finance folks at India level, maybe good at HQ

    Manager (Current Employee) Bangalore (India)

ProsWORK LIFE BALANCE (Routine jobs & restricted job responsibility to high quality employee result in lot of free time)

ConsSystems & Processes are not aligned, Multiple systems created in silos & they dont talk to each other

Quality of Work is poor at country level, maybe good at HQ

Inflexible HR policy, Bad Gross to Net take home ratio

    No ONE Finance approach

Finance treated as support function & not business partner/ advisory.. you know what i mean !

Advice to Senior ManagementDrive & Foster innovation at country level (bottoms up !!), build integrated systems.

Map talent to roles (esp lateral hires): Don't throw money recruiting high experience quality resources for jobs good for freshers !

Good company where you will get good work life balance

Software Engineer II (Current Employee) Bangalore (India)

ProsVery good work life balance. You will get decent work if you fight for it and it purely depends on the team/project you are into.

ConsCompensation may be appear good at the time of joining but you should forget great hikes after joining. Growth with respect to compensation is sluggish. Very frequent re-organization and employee retention is very poor.

Cisco has a great work culture apart from the cutting edge technology and solid experts.

    Manager (Current Employee) Bangalore (India)

ProsGreat people, good technology to learn, length and breadth of options in telecom domain, work-culture

ConsNot a negative side, but it's something which some of you may feel it is. One has to take ownership of his/her own career. Doing things which are assigned simply will not let the career graph grow. One need to take extra initiatives to prove time and again.

    Cisco Internal view

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsOffice : Cisco is one of the best company to work with. Only if it is the original cisco and not a part of the acquired one.
CISCO offers a number of other activities, learning and skill development training to the employees to develop their individual skills.

ConsCisco (acquired company) is only used for branding and selling of the acquired product and its a personal advise not to prefer it.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
