I have been working at Citec Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Company values graduate students & trainees greatly and they're quickly assimilated into work tasks and get introductions to their job.
    - Some teams have awesome work culture (while some have shitty)
    - Pay is ok
    - Free coffee + fruits

    Cons

    - Training opportunities are very rare, and mostly for senior engineers/managers. Hands-on work approach to the rest (but customers are billed anyway). Approx. 2 days of training/year is average. Few employees have physically seen what they're working on. (e.g. visited a manufacturer / project site)
    - Company culture needs work, "the grassroots workers" have no idea about what is expected of them, or to where the team is headed.
    - HR is slow to react, little attention is paid to the results of yearly HR-surveys
    - Focuses (too) much on "invoiceable work" - little is done "for the greather good", things that will be a benefit in future.
    - Bonuses are non-existant
    - Too reliant on few big customers, heavy fluctuations in workload depending on some single customers' projects

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value and invest the employees and their strengths - it's what the customers are paying you for - you just have to find and nourish them!

I worked at Citec Group full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The organization has no pros at all.

    Cons

The people in the management during my stay at Citec were very poor people managers. The person who headed the India operations herself was not a technical writer and had absolutely no clue on how to manage guys in the organization. One of her managers who was lusting for the role of heading India operations at Citec Information managed to dictate terms and turn this lady at the top as per her wishes. These two ladies managed to spoil the career of all people who were a threat to their positions in the organization.
