I have been working at Citi full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I love the fact that Citi has processes in place for most duties and functions.

    Cons

Not everyone seems to understand them, know about them, or care to follow them. There are also times we are hindered by the processes, and can't do what we see is the best for Citi because it is not out role.

    Advice to Management

Stop the Political Infighting, and duplicating functions with different groups. Trying talking to each other, and find common ground. Or let the people that do the work do the collaboration instead.

    I worked at Citi full-time

    Pros

Great Benefits, vast personalities, longevity if economy is up. Great flexible work environments, Learned a lot about different investors and regulations

    Cons

Better pay raises, bonus were great until became harder and harder to achieve, every year possible lay offs. Frequent changes that aren't communicated to all. Keeping managers that don't have a modern view on workforce, or commons sense to not treat others like they are ignorant children

    Advice to Management

no more outsourcing. Modernize cohesive computer systems.

    Pros

Good amount of vacation time, flexibility, cool coworkers & decent benefits.

    Cons

So-So management, favoritism, salary pay doesn't meet minimum standards of competitors, barely no advancement & sick days you have to use it for inclement weather (floods, ice storm)

    Advice to Management

Take time out to LISTEN to your employees & take action we notice the unnoticed.

I have been working at Citi full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Many nice people to work with

    Cons

Forget about getting an annual raise, unless you are VP and above. If you are eligible, don't expect more than 1%. Internal promotion, expect a 3-5% increase, non negotiable. Competitors pay far more.

I have been working at Citi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, inspiring vision and message, fair employment, flexible work schedule and work environment, they're flexible with remote employees too.

    Cons

This could be an isolated situation, but I don't like not having assigned cubicles. Sometimes it gets full and I can't find room at the hotel cubicles or in what is called the HIVE. Additionally, it gets noisy in the HIVE. It's a great concept, but it's not being executed well in my opinion.

    Advice to Management

More cubicles, bigger HIVE, and I want to be able to use SVN instead of RTC.

    Pros

There is great Vacation time and friendly environment to work in. Paid time off is nice and not available at every job

    Cons

Not to many negatives to talk about. The don't close if the roads are bad. That is way off but that is truly the only thing I would change.
