    Pros

Great training programs for young talent

Mobility is encouraged and made easier by the global platform; also a philosophy that once they recruit someone, they would like to keep you

Impressive progression out of the financial crisis

    Cons

Political and fragmented due to the mere size of the organization. Therefore individual experiences can vary a great deal, depending on who your most direct manager(s) are.

Management has ambitious goals, which is great. However, execution is lacking.

Laid back environment encourages lack of professionalism at times

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Buffalo, NY

I worked at Citi full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a global bank so it's nice on the resume and a foot in the door in banking.finance if you live or went to school in the Buffalo area.

    Cons

Pay is quite low. Work life balance is an absolute joke. Many vacation days will go unused. You will end up coming in on holidays. Management is quite incompetent in some departments and basically do not care about anyone but themselves, certainly not their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Clean house.
