    Pros

Great opportunities after leaving and good opportunities to expand to other departments. Good learning resources and exposure to a many different areas of a truly worldwide bank.

    Cons

Big company going through a lot of change in each department, due to changes in regulations. There was a lot of miscommunication and unclear instructions on these changes. This led to a lot of confusion and slowed down work.

    Pros

Worked with many smart individuals whom you are able to learn a lot from.

    Cons

As it is a major corporation, navigating the channels of communication to get things done is a huge hassle.

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I have a job for two years and during the first nine months we received a monthly bonus. After that, they were cut out.

    Cons

Loved what I did and meet goals. Number two producer in section, but when they needed to downsize, other team members under to meet goals, or come to work remained on the team and I was let go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't tell your staff as long as they are doing a good job, they are safe and that they have nothing to worry about because they are meeting their goals, second highest producer in section and received excellent customer service feedback from customers.

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great amenities & perks such as a gym / med services ofc / childcare on site / cafeteria with restaurant / free coffee in department kitchens

    Cons

Policies change on nearly a daily basis and not necessarily for the better. Managers range from those who are awesome and helpful to those who are petty and playing favorites. Keep adding more expectations of what must be said to client to further company agenda (in addition to assisting clients with needs) while never adjusting amount of seconds for average call time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try putting customers first. Faster is not necessarily better. May want to find some records about old First Union / Wachovia cultures and actually care about clients and employees a bit more. Managers kept so busy with pushing #s they don't care about call contents.

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Big company, growth opportunities only for analysts and up.

    Cons

No growth potential for admins/executive asst staff with advanced degrees. No training, bonus, etc. 1-2% pay raises given since 2008 while other employees receive raises and bonuses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow admins/executive growth opportunity. A large percentage of them have Master Degrees. Can be an asset to the firm but currently not utilized.

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Work life Balance. given opportunity to work from home more than expected

    Cons

Pay structure ok, but could be better
Career progression, promotions are few and far between, is based on performance these days at least. But even as a top performer, you need politics on your side.
there's always one more report that management needs, to the point where all you are doing is managing and tracking reports. your typical daily duties then take a back seat....very annoying

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

try to centralize your MIS reports so that everyone from top to bottom can see in one place
