    Pros

Benefits - company matched up to 4%. Good health benefits and a gym in the facility that I used everyday. Training was decent and coaching was valuable. Remote capability and worked from home 3 days a week.

    Cons

Slow at progress (disadvantage of being a large company) and might be overlooked if you don't volunteer yourself for special projects often and work from home (invisible).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More communication over new procedure changes and how that affects your job.

Great company to work for. Most of the people are great. The Tampa Headquarters is full of culture. Management is very accommodating to employees. Good reward system in place.

    Cons

It takes forever to get into the system when hired on for some of the departments.

    Pros

3 recruiters called me from Citi, 2 for AML position and 3rd was for trade settlement. - I ended up with Latin America trade settlement. Benefits are great. The tuition reimbursement is great and there are the financial courses that the company offers for free. You can move around to other locations where the company is found.

    Cons

Pay is a bit low for the industry. It can be hard to move up the ladder.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring back the bonus structure or the annual pay increase based on merit.

    Pros

They have very unrealistic expectations. Plan on 50 hours a week. Sure you can do 8 hours a day, but that means you are coming in on Saturdays! If you are like me, you spend an hour driving to work, 9-10 hours Mon thru Fri, and then an hour home. What kind of life is that? I don't know anything about the other departments, but if you are thinking about any position that says AML or Anti Money Laundering, avoid! Not worth it, really not worth it.

    Cons

They have many staffing firms (Randstad, Adecco, Advantage) recruiting for Citi because the turnover is so high! Randstad is a joke.. they post daily for "Compliance Analyst", "Fraud Investigator", "Banking Analyst".. but don't let those girls fool you, it is ALL the same position! And what they don't tell you is it's 17/hr while you are temp. But in reality you work 50 hours a week to complete your work on time. The overtime pay is nice as a temp. But once you get hired full time with Citi at $44,000 a year... working 50 hours a week really breaks down to about 16.50 an hour! So although you get health insurance, etc, getting hired by Citi is really like a demotion! My advice is, only work here if you are truly desperate. I keep hoping they will fire me any day. Or hopefully find a better job. The first 3 or 4 months are ok, because they start you out with a smaller case load, but after that, it sucks. And if you have good vision, kiss that goodbye. Citi AML is a 'paperless environment.' So you are literally looking at a computer screen ALL day long. If you aren't looking at the computer, then that means you aren't working.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. They know have things have been over the years and they do nothing to change it. They have a 'churn and burn' mentality. In other words, they hire as many temps as possible, overwork them until they quit, and bring in more. The job it self is so easy. You are literally cutting and pasting screenshot from various bank databases into Excel spreadsheets. Sounds like an easy job, right? But when you have a million cases, and that's all you do, it sucks. If you have anything more than a 10th grade education, you are way overqualified for this. Which leads to another point. Most people with a college degree, quit as soon as they get another job, which leaves the bad employees to work there. So yes, even though it is a fortune 500 Company, your coworkers will have tattoos on their legs, wrists, etc.

    Pros

Health Benefits, Cafeteria on site was great, excellent training program that provides you a tremendous amount of knowledge of the banking industry

    Cons

Salary, Office Culture, Management difficult to work with. Given false hope for advancement opportunities that never became available. Inability to be flexible, too big for their own good. Decision makers don't understand the life of a lower level employee and that is evident by their actions.
