I worked at CitiMortgage full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Loved all of the experience I received at Citi. Great managers and flexibility.

    Cons

Citi is always changing so never get too comfy because change is likely around the corner.

    Advice to Management

I would have liked more career pathing. Although I loved my job I would have liked to have had the opportunity to go into management without taking a large paycut.

    Pros

    Pros

Citi Mortgage was a good company to work considering the employee benefits and appreciation. If employee performance was good, the company would reward the good performance with bonuses. An employee appreciation activity was held every 6 months. This company always kept employees up to date on training and laws that affected mortgage lending and servicing as well.

    Cons

The company continually experienced computer issues resulting in excessive amount of down time. Also, some of the leadership took advantage of their positions and did not assist the employees as needed.

    Advice to Management

The only advice that I would note would be to train the Supervisors to be able to perform the same duties as the agents so that they are able to assist more effectively when an agent has some issues with their system or policies and procdures.

I have been working at CitiMortgage full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They money is good, and there is plenty of room to grow.

    Cons

high turnover rate, they like to hire people for cheap but expect great results from the same people.

    Advice to Management

focus more with training and hiring good people for good money.... stop trying to save money on employees when they in turn cost you more money in fines

I have been working at CitiMortgage full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Positive work environment and nice people.

    Cons

Career mobility. You'll have to be at your current position for a year+ before posting out, even if it's a position you're clearly qualified for.

    Advice to Management

Be more open minded when it comes to qualified candidates trying to move up within the company.

I worked at CitiMortgage full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Training was decent, and coworkeRs at bank branches were really great.

    Cons

Where to start. Processing system is still part of the stone ages although Cities started to develop their own brand new processing system, which still sucks. Management pushes unrealistic goals on loan officers. Pay structure sucks.

    Advice to Management

support your loan officers, and actually pay attention to the needs of your LOan officers. Help your loan officers with marketing and other support to gain trust and maintain that trust with consumers and Realtors.
