    Pros

The starting pay is good, but dont expect any pay raises or promotions. So for tellers, or personal bankers, good starting salary, compared to other places, but they wont go up no matter what you do.

    Cons

Managers that dont know what they are doing. Too many times ive talked to others in the company who have a manager who were just there when the building was opened, so they have been in position for 20plus years and still dont know what they doing. They will hire you based on what work they think you can do for them. So many times, tellers, run the branch because managers dont know what they are doing, so they will assign the work to a teller cause they themselves dont know how. What this causes is more work for everyone, and if some thing is done wrong or audited, the bankers, tellers get in trouble cause they delegated the work to you. Its how they stay in that position for so long.
I had a assistant manager who could not even write an email and many times she would sit in bank typing, looking busy, one paragraph email while everyone else did the work.
Everyone knew she was incompetent in upper management, but no one did any effort to train her, or discipline her, which can be demoralizing to your spirit .

they will treat you badly, yell, scream cause they believe its ok. if you call in sick, you will be interrogated.

    Advice to Management

Really, just ask the tellers, bankers, ANONYMOUSLY how to improve there branch, if 99 percent of them say, train management, then train them. not just on the software, but on common courtesy and knowing how to talk to customers, seems some older abms just dont know how

    Pros

Corporate jobs are fairly nice, benefits are excellent

    Cons

Treated like a dog in the retail branch. No room for growth, poor pay and watch out for travel expenses that company makes you pay out of pocket. Unfair policies and practices.

    Advice to Management

Be fair to your employees, be honest. Making an employee pay out of pocket for parking and travel expenses as a low paid teller is ridiculous. Stop the constant transferring. A lot of company and labor violations that the hr department does nothing about.

    Pros

Each branch has a very different yet dynamic team. You work as a self-monitored individual as well as a team by helping each other and bring the entire branch together as a whole. Managers are very supportive and willing to back you up as things come along.

    Cons

Very wide range of different types of customer. Work load always at high demand. Upper management focus too much on performance and sales when over-looking small details at the branch level.

    Advice to Management

Communicate among others and act as a connection between co-workers and the upper management.
