    Pros

You will gain a world of experience on how NOT to conduct efficient operations and master redundant processes with the minimum amount of staff possible.

    Cons

There are employees in this division that have not received a pay raise in 5 years.
Senior management seem more than content with dishing orders from behind closed doors with minimal employee interaction and/or feedback.
Outside talent always prioritized over internal qualified candidates.
Every decision revolves around saving money rather than being efficient.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with the respect they deserve and provide a compensation package in line with their responsibilities. Appreciate your people and change to culture from "work for" to "work with".

    Pros

Great people to work with, lots of teamwork and willingness to help each other.

    Cons

Manager workload is excessive, can not fully enjoy time off allotted due to how much work we have to complete monthly. Also, promotions are NOT based on merit or performance, lots of opportunity to improve career development and advancements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take alook at workload balance and resources. Need to work on career development and advancements based on qualifications, merit and performance.

    Pros

If your performance is outstanding, then you will get fair chance to get promoted. Training is pretty nice. A lot to learn in this company.

    Cons

Pay and benefit are not too satisfactory. The company focuses too much on cost-saving than creating value.

    Pros

When you were able to bonus the bonuses were pretty good.

    Cons

Low employee morale. Management does not care about employees. A lot of drama with no reprecussions for bad behavior. Poor training. More of an reactive mind set instead a proactive mind set.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't turn a blind eye to the issue that are going on amongst your employees.

I worked at Citibank full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Most of the people I worked with were professional and very friendly. The time-off policies were very generous and you were encouraged to use them. There were more than adequate opportunities for promotions if you were willing to work very long hours. There were a lot of training opportunities, as well, and allowed me to develop very marketable skills. The pay was great, imo.

    Cons

I worked at Citi for 8 years during the turbulent times that included the most recent recession. It was embarrassing to be part of a company that was so publicly criticized for the handouts it took, and then the fines it paid when it was discovered that its actions contributed in a big way to the recession. During recovery, there were a lot of layoffs, then reorganizations, then layoffs, and more reorgs, then hiring a lot of people at lower wages. It became very stressful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit substituting reorganizations for actual leadership and transparent policies. Don't be legislated into doing what is fair and right; be accountable for your actions. Simplify the products and strengthen customer service instead of spending so much time and resources on constant change that is difficult for your people to support.

    Cons
