    MY, How Time Flies!

Colleections Representative (Current Employee) Albuquerque, NM

ProsThey willl hire you on the spot, the one interview process with confirmation that you have the job at the end is excelllent for starving job seekers.

ConsYou are not going anywhere, besides to different desks and different departments. Albuquerque location is proud of saying that the C in Citi stands for change. That is a strategy when you earn incentive regularly inone department, switch you to something new aqnd watch you start over. The only thing we are really WOO WOW WINning the clients with is "woo, that 29.9% APR is irreversable, sorry"

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the promise card and eat it....

    Not bad -just not great

Customer Service Unit Manager (Current Employee)

Prosbenefits, peer group, call center operations were very standard. Learned a great deal

Consno where to go. Big Box call center only 3-4 slots for promotion. Most talent left after 2-3 years. Burn and Churn type of job

Lots of opportunity but easy to get complacent

Vice President (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsYou can be given opportunities quickly if you're in the right place at the right time, and if your reputation is strong. Great ability to move around across the organization once you prove yourself. Great thing is that although roles are very narrow you do have the change to try new things and move around over time. However, be careful of getting stuck - people need to know who you are, and relationships (like everywhere) are critical. People ,ake up their mind quickly about you, and word travels fast.

ConsAbsolutely need a champion - if you or your group get caught up in the politics you're toast.

Advice to Senior ManagementPeople seem to fail up - be ruthless and cut the poor performers irrespective of relationships.

Remember to recognize existing employees and promote from within.

Vice President (Current Employee) Long Island City, NY

ProsThere are many talented people there, and lots of opportunities to do some interesting work.

ConsUnfortunately, the work is hampered by lots of bureaucracy. Often times, corporate politics, rather than results, determine who gets ahead. The infrastructure is antiquated. Too little attention is paid to strenthening the long term health of the company. Every project is reviewed for quick pay back without thought to investing in long term growth. Recent layoffs contributed to severe morale issues; just waiting for the other shoe to drop in 2009.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the longer view; remember it's easier and more profitable to sustain and grow existing customers than to acquire new ones. Same goes for nurturing and developing current employees.

    Sales Representative (Former Employee)

Prosvalues of the ocmpany, client service oriented. also the management was flexible enough to react to the changes in the industry

Conssometimes management gives too much pressure without any reason and breaks all the trust that you might have had. also the payroll is not the best in the industry

Advice to Senior Managementits good to be so much client oreinted company, but it would not hurt to be also emploee oriented time after time

    Wasted time

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsFairly easy to get hired and meet some fun people.

ConsLittle room to move up if you are not a major brown noser
Management says one thing but does another

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a long look in the mirror! Stop sending jobs overseas and reducing employee benefits and salaries. What may be saving the company money is creating more and more employee unrest. Which is why your VOE (Voice of the Employee) numbers and dropping so much.
