    Pros

Citicorp call centers have quality people working for them. As an employee, I had a blast with my co employees.

    Cons

They are weird with policies & always contradict themselves. For example, they offer help paying college classes but then make it impossible to change your schedule once theyve paid for the courses. Or they offer hugely discounted child care on premesis, but their health plan makes you pay extra for family planning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management doesnt understand that by making their employees happy, they would get better work. Crunching numbers & crying about time on a call is annoying & repetetive. Some calls take awhile.

    Pros

unwillingness to training courses esp internally. Entrance into communications and utility fields kept hush, hush, so everyone can get promoted with the Fed none the wiser. Wow, my kind of company!

    Cons

Falling over each other to meet quantitative goals, only inployees have no difficulty crossing division lines to claim 'new ideas' to structure new deals without bothering to consult soliciters to refine documentation.

    Pros

Its a large organization with growth opportunities if you are not a Finance Professional.

    Cons

Citi is moving all of its Finance positions outside of the US to low cost locations. It is a horrible place to work. Ridiculous hours, and no concern for the employee. Very unprofessional. Only workers face discrimination.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reconsider the jobs being moved outside the US. Also, reconsider older employees who have alot to contribute and are not valued.

    Cons

BAd bosses, hard, long hours, misunderstood direction and impossible tasks delegated to me.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More theory Y than Theory X management style. Listen to your people, hire more staff who are competent to do the work.

    Pros

If you are into production support, then join for good package. But prepare for the interview as if you are a developer and working on some hi tech organization.
They take a developer and give them good package (not to forget, constant reminder of it) and make him into a production support individual.

    Cons

    1. They will tell you it's a development role while interviewing, while once you are inside they will give you production support

    2. They will make you work in shift, while avoiding calling it shift job

    3. They call it a captive and CoE, while the senior management thinks of it as a support center

    4. Main work in US, only support functions are coming to India

    5. Work - Life balance - Non-Existent

    6. Indian HR is under the US manager. They have no voice

    7. Very confused about if they are a product organization or a service organization

    8. Employee satisfaction - NIL

    9. Employee support - NIL

    10. Employee care - NIL

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Stop making people think you are a development center and duping people to join it. Instead share the actual work you do, so that people are not blinded by the package only.

    - Tell the candidates that you don't believe in work-life balance and it will make future employees chose you wisely.
