Pros
Work life balance is equalized. The vacation and holiday benefits are on the higher end in relation to other companies in the area. Low stress job, with a steady amount of work.
Cons
No clear career path for a web designer. All web designers these days are developers. Yet, we are treated like salespeople. Projects involving the non web designers never start with web designers involved, we are constantly asked last minute to perform miracles. There is no one in our company hierarchy that can be viewed as a mentor, or someone to help you improve your skills.
Advice to Senior Management
take the issue of money of the table, by compensating enough. then give your employees autonomy, mastery, and purpose. they will outperform and produce amazing stuff!
Pros
Team work is strong in most groups.
Cons
Salaries and variable comp are average.
Advice to Senior Management
Management needs to keep the course, which they are doing very well.
Pros
Job security
You can sit around and not work
Hard to get fired
Annuity
Competition is thin
Cons
Promote mediocricy
Lack of direction
Senior management lacks leadership / knowledge
Legal counsel incompetent
Advice to Senior Management
Quit and let more competent leaders take their place... Vikram can stay, but his ultimate goal is to turn Citi into an even more massive, fat, bloated, too big to fail bank. Once again, job security is key here. Just don't act too smart or else you will get black balled.
Pros
Very diverse work environment, safe environment to work
Cons
Too big, very hard to get just about anything done. When it's time for job cuts for some reason it usually happens around the holidays
Pros
tons of OT for egar employee like myself.
Cons
Merits are given to wrong people or not to enough of us. Actual Branch Support employees are under valued...
Advice to Senior Management
Wake UP and Smell coffee employees that are dealing with Branches are last in line for Merits.
Pros
flexible, good name in banks, work from home, training and vacation benefit
Cons
Very poor salary package for beginners, hardly peanuts :(( Infact temporary staff gets 3-4 times the salary then the permanent ones. Very jealousy and unhappy with pay package as it include super and tax which leaves me with nothing. Boss appreciates ur work but no rewards, no bonus, no increment in salary packages nothing.Just very dry Feel like I earn so much but still I don't own anything .Wana go Shopping Spree for ages with a secured bank account ;)
Advice to Senior Management
Salary is an important factor especially on a entry level employees who put in efforts to out stand, work hard and take no leave in their initial period with company. please do give some nice increment package or a nice bonus when contract is reviewed and extended or confirmed.
Pros
Benefits (vacation, 401K, no pension)
Cons
Severely limited upward mobility. Seemingly random recognitions and rewards.
Advice to Senior Management
Most leadership positions fillers are only facing up. Rank and file representation is jeopardized.
Pros
It is all about work, work, pressure but at the end of the year a sad face that company did not do well and we cannot give you a hike or bonus.! Not worth sacrificing your work-life balance!!
Cons
1. Poor compensation in Belfast
2. Only about Work and work
3. Very poor work-life balance
Advice to Senior Management
Please think of employees who work so hard! When times will improve, you will find an empty workplace and will not be able to retain employees!
Pros
- Training...if you have the time, the training opportunities are great.
- Flexibility - most employees have the opportunities to work from home
Cons
POLITICS! Be ready to play the game.
Advice to Senior Management
*sigh*...as if they'll listen.
Pros
good benefits, dynamic working environment meaning well facilitated career mobility within the company
Cons
lots of reorgs, management shuffling, insecurity to some degree causing unavoidable politics
Advice to Senior Management
value talents, build merit-based system for raises, bonuses, etc
