Pros
Management was easy to get along with and flexible and for the most part my co-workers were all competent and easy going
Cons
Definitely an had a certain air of machismo that was evident and at some times felt more like a frat than a work space
Advice to Senior Management
Make the atmosphere more conducive to learning, I sometimes felt that I'd have my head chopped off if I asked a senior member a question
Pros
It is a large company that offers great exposure into large markets. Also gives great credibility to your resume.
Cons
It is a large company and it is easy to get lost in the mass of employees. There are also many confusing hoops to jump through in regards to approvals and such.
Advice to Senior Management
I think there there needs to be a more streamlined information system, and that the current reporting systems are aweful. So much time is wasted.
Pros
They gave me an opportunity based on faith and have provided me with full benefits and a more than fair salary.
Cons
Senior management is out of touch and incompetent.
Advice to Senior Management
Consider what is best for your team as opposed to just being a "Yes Man". You'll create a large pool of supporters as opposed to burning the candle at both ends. Sr Management will never be satisfied.
Pros
Benefits package comprehensive and pricing to employee(s) fair. Proactive with FMLA and disability issues. Working environment well spaced, well lit, and generally quiet for this type of business. Centrally located in the DFW metroplex, outstanding cafeteria, clean breakrooms, close to external food services. Generally speaking, treatment of employees was fair and very respectful.
Cons
Long hours at month-end, month-end close. Long hours at mid-month. Occasionally these long hours interefered with attending college courses at night.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management needs to become more involved and proactive in mentoring and coaching their female employee population at all levels. While generally yearly employee reviews are based on employee production, there are times when manager's personality dislikes taint the reviews - this needs to stop.
Pros
good pay & benefits for work performed
Cons
little communication from leadership about planning
Advice to Senior Management
staff gets little warning of changes
Pros
There is a consistent good working environment.
Cons
management doesn't understand stress of employees
Pros
Citi has a well established system and you can easy learn in its systems. The colleague were nice and willing to help me .
Cons
A huge system makes it sometimes time cosuming to process some transactiones.
Client manager sometimes not that active involved in client interaction.
Advice to Senior Management
Make improvment to the sometimes time consuming system. Give better training for the customer service, let them gain better understanding of details.
Pros
Benefits are very good
Easy and normal to work remote
Facilities are modern and clean
Chance to learn the latest technologies
Cons
Because its a bank, security and auditing are more important than making sure we can backup/restore the computer systems. This is evident in the amount of paperwork needed to get anything done. Often given projects to deliver that are late before the paperwork was started which means everything gets escalated.
Advice to Senior Management
There are so many little things you could do to make your employees more productive and able to get something done but no one will champion that idea.
Stop letting everyone escalate minor issues to upper management. Trust that the managers who work for you have a good reason for their decision.
Pros
People are really nice; Working environment is good; A good place to work for, esp once you have a family.
Cons
Some departments are still in the old working style; They keep a lot of "un-knowledged" middle-age staffs; No creation.
Pros
Experience is the most important pro
Cons
Too big
one of a quarter million employees
Advice to Senior Management
Promote more people capable of the job
