Pros
Leadership is smart. Alot to learn and advancement opportunities.
Cons
Huge company not always aware of everything happening in the company has a whole.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue the great job.

Cons
Growth and allowing employees to move
Advice to Senior Management
More growth opportunity and fairness
Pros
Wonderful benefits, approachable management, flexibility, proper work life balance
Cons
Uncertainty regarding Smith Barney's ultimate fate. The rumor mill was rampant. Encourage others to stay informed as employees are often the last to know.
Pros
mobility, access to a lot business, and great work culture. Get to meeting a lot of smart people withing the industry
Cons
Red tape, not competitive salary, and a lot of work hours. Working culture varies from org to org, so it is key to be in the right group.
Advice to Senior Management
Reduce red tape, empower employeer, get managers who can manager and lead, and not those who just have work experience.
Pros
Good Benefits, but can be quite expensive when compared to other employers. Vacation and disability plans are excellent. The company promotes growth for its employees, but can be hard to get noticed in such a large environment.
Cons
Management can be arrogant as some think they know everything. Ego's are pretty big which leads to the arrogance. Some managers from prior mergers lead by "stating the obvious" with no real guidance or solutions. Promotions are based on who is on the promotion committee that year and who is plugging for you. Too political of an atmosphere. No wonder they almost went under.
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of the arrogant management as they can't lead the company no matter how smart they think they are. Get back to basics. Some of the mergers in the past should not have happened with Citigroup. Keep brokerage and banking separate. It doesn't work!
Pros
Benefits, day care, stable, many different job opportunities
Cons
no training, mid managers with poor management skills
Advice to Senior Management
choose better mid managers and increase training
Pros
The career growth opportunity is great, the pay is right, and the management is fantastic. The people are great too.
Cons
The hours can be long, but its expected. The management works just as hard, which makes the hours more doable.
Advice to Senior Management
No advice to offer management other than to keep up the good work and keep to the current business strategy.
Pros
Great training and friendly staff
Good Cafeteria with food made to order
Gym available in office
ample free parking and close to highways
Cons
Manual work not upto date with technology
Office structure not ideal
does not have a structured progression plan
No GO access
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up with industry technology
would benefit from preplanned training / class room
Employee feedback should be taken seriously
ok

Very inefficient/bureaucratic and pay can be lower than street average
