- Almost impossible to get fired

- Senior management all too happy to accept mediocre performance
- Very hard to get things done
- Working in technology is completely thankless
- For all the talk of a meritocracy, getting on and getting paid more is very tough
- Truthfulness gets you into trouble

Advice to Senior Management

- Raise the standards
- Don't let mediocre performers get away with it
- Don't waste money letting people travel for no reason
- Don't make people sit on conference calls at night for months on end when a trip to the US could get these things sorted in one go
