    Pros

Good people "in the trenches" make for a positive work environment. There is opportunity for advancement if you work hard, have patience, and are willing to try new things.

    Cons

Direction/stability of the newly public company is questionable. A history of short-sighted decisions has caught up to the company and it is struggling to dig out of that to remain competitive and deliver value to shareholders. Culture is chaotic and woefully under-resourced, with a tangled web of outsourcing and vendor solutions.

    Advice to Management

Do the hard work of fixing the real problems vs. continuing to do the short-sighted thing. And sometimes the hard work includes replacing people who perpetuate the status quo with people who've worked elsewhere and have fresh ideas for how modern companies operate.

    Pros

The hourly wage is fair-good. Some of the branch staff are ok. Fair stock options depending on your outlook for the company.

    Cons

Very poorly structured and managed organization. Tons of micro-management to the point where it is insulting and overwhelming. HR staff are headhunters, no support after you start. If you take a job with citizens, you are simply a number. Turnover is epidemic (probably because the recruiters are pretty uninformed about the jobs they are recruiting for). Only about 2/3 remain for the first 90 days.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging. Don't lie to prospects during the interview process. Talk to your staff!

    Pros

Flexible schedules offered, decent benefits and comparative salaries

    Cons

No clear cut goals and objects Sub par talent Ineffective management Highly "matrixed" to the point of ineffectiveness Absolutely no career path No buy in from management to develop talent The worst management team team I have ever worked under

    Advice to Management

Hire super stars to develop a clear product road map that are compelling and competitive Get rid of the losers Get rid of the multiple layers to get things done Get brand identity

    Pros

You can have access to different areas, and learn things cross functionally. And since it is a small bank, colleagues are easy talking persons.

    Cons

It is a small bank, so it is not very competitive to big players. The turnover rate is a bit high. And the structure keeps changing.

    Advice to Management

    To be more fair.
